The ground floor room was very spacious and clean. The room was a little noisy which was to be expected on the ground floor, but earplugs were provided. Despite that, we slept like babies as the bed and bedding were lovely. The Hotel is a lovely space and the staff were fabulous, very attentive and super helpful.

The staff was very welcoming, and gave us a run down of attractions in York. They accomidated our request for ground floor due to physical limitations, which other locations did not. Mo even made us and another couple dinner one night. It was within walking distance of the train station. I would definitely stay here again

Booked this for my son and his gf to have a couple days in York. They received warm welcome by host and given lots of recommendations and ideas what to do around and about. Stunning large bedroom with beautiful en-suite. Spotlessly clean. Tea/coffee making facilities. Just a perfect stay in a fabulous location as neither drive so everything was within walking distance.

We had a fantastic stay at The Crescent - the room was large with bay window and ensuite, good coffee machine and it was a really comfortable stay. The owner was friendly and helpful. It is a short walk to the city centre and train station so an excellent location. I would recommend staying here and we will certainly return next time we are in York.

Great location and price. Slightly outdated and was woken up a few times overnight due to noise from other guests going in and out of rooms (earplugs were provided by the hotel but I mistakenly did not use them). Overall very good for a cheap night close to the city centre.

The room was amazing for what I was paying and was like a mini apartment. It was in a safe area close to shops. I am not a fan of contact free service and would have enjoyed conversation with staff but saw no one the whole time. Otherwise it was an awesome stay.

I enjoyed my stay, greeted by a very friendly and welcoming owner who was able to provide a full overview and recommendations for York. Car Parking was easy and cost just £5 a day which I thought was reasonable for the on street permit. Although this did seem limited on a first come first served basis. Room was basic but had all the necessary amenities, it looked like it had a recent refurbishment. Bed was comfortable. Only issue was the noise from the room. The room is next to reception and so there was noise bleed from the tad loud sound system (not a problem during bed times). The road noise was significant although the owners had kindly provided disposable ear buds in the room if needed. I was fine - but one to watch. Overall would stay here again.
