What Guests Say About Their Stay

The car park isn’t the largest but they were extremely helpful when we arrived moving one of their cars for us to park. The room was lovely, bed comfortable and even though by the road the noise was minimal. Was very impressed when we arrived to find they had oak milk for my tea. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely stay again.

The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Despite being a 2 star hotel, they found us somewhere to park and helped carry our bags to our room. This is a basic hotel, but that’s why it costs a little less. But it is clean, friendly, we had a lovely room and a very good television with loads of options on it, which you don’t get at some hotels. The breakfast was extra, but it was certainly worth the £8.50. The sausages and bacon in particular were very tasty. I would recommend this hotel because it’s great value for money. It’s close to the railway station, the bus station, the town centre and the cathedral. It has its own car park and the room facilities are great. The staff were so great too. So friendly and helpful.

Manager was lovely and very helpful. The room was clean and she let us put our cases in our room even though she hadn’t cleaned it yet.lovely outside space to sit and eat or chat and while away the hours, weather permitting. Parking area at the back which is part of the hotel. Lots of stairs if your on the upper floors. Within walking distance to the town centre which has gone down hill a bit since our last visit.

Second time I've stayed at The Edward. The room was clean and comfortable with generous amount of complimentary tea and coffee. I've always found the staff friendly and helpful. Free parking on site so close to City Centre is also a plus. I would definitely recommend to friends.

This is a very reasonably priced hotel not too far from the train station and the town centre. The staff who greeted me seemed unmotivated. The room was clean and provided with good services such as a fridge, coffee, tea and hot chocolate, biscuits etc. which were left outside the door each day to maintain privacy. It was summer time and having a fan in the room was good. However, the room was at the back of the building and had a distinct smell of plumbing and dampness which wasn't pleasant.

Delightful hotel for my stay with my teenage son. Really friendly owner and lots of interesting historical pictures/info. So helpful to have fridge and microwave in our room and access to guest kitchen. It was very hot (attic room) but fans were provided. The shower was good and the beds very comfortable. Great!

Excellent I can't understand why it's only rated as a two-star. The room has everything you need. Fridge microwave. Excellent shower. Full size bath sheets. Super comfortable bed and a large TV. What more could you want?. The location couldn't be better 10-minute walk and you enter the centre of Gloucester.

Their love and knowledge of the local area was inspiring and supported by a fantastic art and photography display throughout the hotel. Great location to explore both locally and surrounds.
