The Esplanade Hotel

It was the first time staying at this hotel. It was a great place overall but what made it an amazing experience was thr hotel staff especially Matthew. Matthew went above and beyond to make our stay amazing he was genuinely kind and had exceptional customer service. Other staff who deserve a mention is Sarah and Anita. Thanks you all we will definitely we coming back.

Stayed here a couple of days ago and unfortunately the evening service was very disappointing. During dinner time, the restaurant seemed reluctant to take additional customers. The bar was left unattended with no staff available, and guests were left queuing for both food and drinks for long periods. Overall, the hotel appeared understaffed and unprepared during one of the busiest times of the evening, and busiest season of the year.

Staff were great, room was big and comfy but issue with the fan not turning off for an hr. Also noisy people

genuinely an amazing hotel for families. my son 3 genuinely thought it was the reason we came to Cornwall, it wasn't but it will be definitely be the reason we come back. All the staff where amazing but ive to call out the receptionist who my son called the bluey lady (she was australian) who went above and beyond with everything

This hotel is in an amazing location right on the beach. Rooms are spacious and clean. The only downside is the temperature control in the room. It was so hot and the rooms were boiling. They provide fans but they don’t really help. This is when it was very windy and cold outside

Indoor heated pool, activities for little kids and indoor soft play area makes it ideal for young families. Walking distance to the beach.

Despite being a dog-friendly hotel, it was clean. There were also no hairs whatsoever under rhe bedsheets on arrival. There was some wear and tear, such as a broken bedside table drawer which had been glued together poorly, some wear and tear in the bathroom, on wardrobes. The view over the sea was lovely, and the room was enormous (2 bunk beds and a king bed - sleep 6 room, we went as a couple with 2 young children). The room was quite quiet, it was warm. The hotel was very childfriendly for younger children, with multiple kids movies showing at the little cinema (we did not go as we have our own home projector setup and had seen all the movies showing), the pool looked nice, and there was a soft play area, plus some free games and paid pool table (£1/play). The breakfast food was okay, the vegan burger at the restaurant was nice. There's a lovely ice-cream shop not far - called Freddo's - it's a short 5 min drive/ 20 min walk on a nice weather day, with a very pleasant staff and delicious cornish ice creams. ChatGPT reccomended we go there and it didn't disappoint, and I make my own ice cream at home. I'd happily stay at this hotel again, despite not owning a dog, nor wanting to, so don't be put off by dogs, because Newquay in general is extremely dog-friendly anyway and you'll see loads everywhere.

Great location by the beach. Fantastic facilities for kids. Very family friendly. Dinner was excellent but the breakfast is way overpriced at £25 per adult! Go elsewhere for breakfast! Otherwise I highly recommend this hotel for families.

Absolutely fantastic half term family holiday! We returned to The Esplanade Hotel again and wow it's still so wonderful, perched on the golden sands of Fistral, the beach certainly is your playground! From the moment we arrived to when we sadly had to leave everything was perfect - spotlessly clean throughout, great swimming pool, delicious food to include a highly recommended afternoon tea, wonderfully furnished bedrooms with beautiful sea views and the highlight being outstanding service from each and every member of staff! Every aspect of this hotel is geared up for the family with great children's entertainment every day. The manager Claudia certainly knows how to run a hotel with her brilliant team, thank you! Her attention to detail is marvellous, it's the little touches! We will be back, again!

The staff were wonderful and the view amazing.

Great location, lovely staff and really comfortable stay. Would recommend. We enjoyed the pool and sauna facilities, as well as the restaurant for dinner.

Photos look amazing….in person it is a rush job clearly done on the cheap! Pool tables all stained, carpet stains, room mediocre Views are lush
