The parking is limited here. The establishment changed owners earlier this year. The rooms have been refreshed, and are quite reasonable. Rooms at the front overlooking the road are extremely noisy from any passing people or traffic. The food menu has been substantially changed and it is now not as extensive or as well prepared. This used to be our go to place near the M5 if we needed an overnight stop in the vicinity, but no longer.

The hotel is a bit dated in the rooms. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was always good and plentiful. Cleaning was poor, never vacuumed in five days, tables were left dirty, sheets never changed. Also there was mold on the window sills and my allergies acted up. A bit pricey for this level of room.

Room was not hooverd in 4 days, bathroom soooo dirty. Whole hotel stinks of bad drains. Sunday roast cold hard and unable to eat. Staff very unfriendly. Rooms tiny and in need of decorating.....would never return.

The room was tidy but it was freezing when I first arrived and it took a while to heat up so not a nice cosy warm welcome on a wet November evening. It was only room and no food so I didn’t have a lot of interaction with the staff. In the morning I had to leave early so there weren’t clear instructions on how to check out and no staff were around so I just left my key on the counter. Room was clean and cosy when it did finally warm up.

Bedroom fine and comfortable and good bathroom. Bar and restaurant not so good with grubby tables and dirty floors. Also parts of restaurant so gloomy it was very difficult to read the menu.
But, service very good and food excellent. Just the decor needs attention.
