1st visit since the refurb and the refurbed rooms are excellent. As always, a great place to stay.

What a gem of a properly. We will definitely be back. Absolutely loved our stay. Each team member we encountered was professional and welcoming. A delight to speak to. Stayed in the Dali room, which was breathtaking, only criticism is that the window couldn't be opened. Keep up the amazing work

This hotel is surprisingly nicer than the photos on Expedia show. It’s a lovely old property the cave/restaurant is nice, my room was fantastic and spacious and the staff friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely stay again when I’m working in the area.

Some comunal areas affected by the builders but generally cleanliness was good. The staff were very friendly, breakfasts and two evening meals were very good. The room fine but in the bathroom I would have liked a shelf or a surface by the handbasin and a grab rail in the shower even though the floor was non slip. An enjoyable stay and can be recomended.

Lovely room, staff and the best meal I have had in ages

Stayed in the newly refurbished Louis room - it was fab. I would rate this excellent but Mon-Fri breakfast has now been downgraded to a continental one and it was OK but not the best. Very carb / sugar based ('normal' sliced bread, cereals, fruit). Tea was weak as was the coffee. i would recommend you add in yoghurt, meat, cheese to ensure some can have a protein based start to the day. There is an attractive dining area but we were in the bar... few tweaks could make a lot of difference

From when we arrived until when we checked out the staff could not of done anything more for us and so friendly the room was very clean comfortable and plenty of room we couldn't not of been happier with it we highly recommend it

Had a great stay. We were there for the reggae fest at another venue that finished at 8pm & by pure change the hunting lodge had a SKA night on. So was great carrying on. Enjoyed it so much. Had a great sleep with comfy bed & fab cooked breakfast £10 each extra but well worth it. The staff were friendly & helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Lovely place to stay and everyone is so friendly

Fine but the room creaked a lot. I know it's an old building but even my bed creaked when I turned. They are doing refurbishment so hopefully will improve.

Very friendly relaxed and welcoming . Cannot comment on breakfast as we had to leave early. We did have lunch on arrival and the Fish Share Platter was amazing .
