Great stay for a family four - breakfast was excellent and the space in the bedroom was great - separate room with bunk beds and a single bed, with a living room and full double in. Only problem was the heat but not a lot anyone could do about that!

They were fab with our children's multiple food allergies, the breakfasts were fantastic. We also ate in the restaurant twice which was lovely. All the staff were super friendly. We had a really nice stay

We checked in room very dated fridge did not work was warm no fans in the room was very hot wasent told room was over kitchen so even hotter bathroom not the best room wasent worth the money

Yeah, a really nice country pub. Met up with my daughter there for a night as was in the middle of us. Really friendly staff, and welcoming locals. Dogs allowed in bedrooms. Very comfy bed. Lovely dinner. Nice dog walk across the road. She left too early for breakfast and I got up too late but am sure it would have been lovely!

We stayed in the Monument room which affords a view of the Wellington Monument (if you know where to look) - it's a spacious suite with quality furniture and fittings.
Breakfast was excellent. The vegetarian option includes "sausages" but these were not the fake meat type but more like vegetable croquettes which we thought were much nicer. All the other items were cooked beautifully.

Lovely old country inn setting. Our room was beautiful and we had the added bonus of a separate kitchen and lounge.
We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was disappointing, but our breakfast the next morning was delicious.

No wonder this inn is rated so highly, it's a wonderful getaway in a charming village. The lamb dinner and hot English breakfast were outstanding. Friendly atmosphere and very welcoming staff. Our room was spacious and clean.

Gave us a friendly and enjoyable stopover for our onward journey to Cornwall. Food was lovely and breakfast included was very nice. Dog friendly with a nice walk across the road through surrounding fields. A lovely setting and would recommend if you’re wanting to break a longer journey up or looking for a weekend stop with your dog.

Staff were extremely welcoming and hospitable. Room was excellent, nice bed and bed linen, extremely clean and warm - provided everything you might need in way of tea/coffee making facilities and fridge. Excellent TV with all the stations. Stay included breakfast, we only had the continental as had an early departure but hot breakfast was also available. Would highly recommend.
