Food good. Room spoilt by noisy fan from outside; also heating off during afternoon so cold and damp patch on outside wall.

A very friendly pub with good food and nice rooms. I would happily stay again.

We booked for two adults and a toddler. The room and bed was too small for three of us. Couldn’t sleep at all despite of being tired after 5hrs drive. Staff told us it was not supposed to be booked for a group of three but something with the webpage might have caused it. Staff were nice. Room was clean and tidy. It was very hot in the night we stayed and No fan was available. If there was no issue with the booking and received a bit larger bed and a fan I would prefer to give 5 stars. The highlight of the stay was the breakfast next morning- Amazing. We had to pay extra £12 for the toddler even though the breakfast was included while we booked for three from hotels.com website, as said before because of the reason that this room was not supposed to be booked for a group of three which wasn’t our fault by the way. Still the cooked breakfast was a 5 stars and 10 stars for the nice young lady who served with a very best smile and greetings whenever she approached our table. I appreciate the team who worked their best to bring that breakfast to our table.

There was not tea and coffee in the room only milk. We did not notice till we was back to the room at 11pm, we messaged the hotel but did not receive a reply, we thought there might have bee some outside our room in the morning but no. We still have not had a reply 4 days later.

Stayed one night on road trip. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room. Ample, easy parking with the pub located only a short drive from Scarborough and Robin Hood's Bay. Breakfast was great with a large selection of alternatives cooked dishes, as well as the 'full English'. Overall good value. Would definitely stay again.

Simple and quick to book. Great location. All breakfast was super and the other meals I spotted looked great. The room was wat better than required and the staff were fantastic.

Lovely staff who made the stay very pleasant. Room was lovely and clean but had a couple of damp patches on the outside wall. However apparently they are in the process of fixing the issue . All in all a very nice place to stay.

Great pub and room was clean and spacious, 10 minutes from Scarborough. Pub food was superb, was perfect for our tastes. Would definitely recommend staying if in the area.

We had a lovely stay, the staff were friendly and would do anything they could to make or stay enjoyable, nothing was too much trouble. The meals were very good, great choice for breakfasts, lunch and evening meals. Our room was very clean, housekeeping provided every day. The only problem we had was with the stairs , two flights up and one down to our room, both elderly with mobility issues. We did discover after our arrival there is a ground floor room available, unfortunately it was occupied so we couldn't ask to change rooms. So I suggest that for elderly less able guests, book the downstairs room, although I was informed it is smaller than the one we had booked.

We had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent 10/10. We had a very delicious evening meal and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.

Stopover for one night on our way home, clean & pleasant, purchased breakfast which was excellent as is the service, not far from Scarborough and good onsite parking, on the main road but a good nights sleep.
