Lovely place, lovely staff!

The Staff are wonderful, very friendly and welcoming 😊 ..........The property is full of character and old world charm with quirky uneven floors and walls, clean and comfortable rooms. The food was fabulous. Would definitely comeback to stay or if passing by call in for a bite to eat. The only thing that I would ask for is a room off the main road if possible as it gets quite noisy early in the morning.

Clean room. Great staff very helpful and pleasant. Food very good and great value. Highly recommend Room 7 bed very comfortable but room cold overnight when heating off because window not draft proof but wouldn’t stop me staying again

Excellent as always

The room was tired and neglected; there was mould in the bathroom, paint falling off the walls in the bedroom and the bathroom. Pleasant and helpful staff

Lovely old inn. Comfortable rooms, lovely and warm on arrival and throughout - I actually turned the radiator down. Lovely staff, good breakfast, free parking. Slept well. I’ve stayed here for a music festival in Whitby 3 times and booked again for next year whilst there this year. Highly recommend.

Room was clean and staff very friendly. Good value for money and a pleasant walking distance to town or very handy for buses. Excellent choice of hot breakfasts, plus cereals, with quick and friendly service. Option to dine in pleasant bar or restaurant for lovely evening meals very handy.

All the staff were welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed a cooked breakfast and had an evening meal one night which was very nice. Our room was basic but clean and the bed was comfortable. The only problem was it was really cold and we couldnt get the radiator to work. The TV was oddly positioned which meant we couldnt easily watch it but that wasnt an issue. The shower was an issue, it trickled out so it wasnt a pleasant experience but overal our stay was really good.
