Lovely stay at Ivy Cottage. Owner Glynn was reallly helpful and gave us lots of info on the local area. The cottage had everything we needed. It is a good location for Bath and the Cotswolds. The Red Lion Pub, where you will find Glynn, is less than a minute's walk away. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

The cottage was dirty, the kitchen smelt of grease and all the pots where dirty. It smelt very fusty like it had been left unused for a long time. Beds where very uncomfortable, my wife described it as the worst nights sleep she has ever had. None of my kids could sleep either. Left after the first night and had to spend more money to stay somewhere. When I mentioned all this to the host they completely ignored me and stopped responding to my messages.

We stayed for 3 nights in this property from 8th to 11th April 2022. While the property has a rustic feel, it has the following issues 1- One of the radiators in the bedroom did not work and it was bitterly cold. While electric blankets were provided it is no substitute for a radiator. The landlord did not show much intent to get it fixed 2- We asked for more firewood in the lounge as some of us ended up slepping there and were flatly denied so I bought some myself. 3- The kitchen sink leaks and we had to manage the leak! 4- The plumbing needs work as it was hard to deal with big fluctuaton in water temperature especially in the shower 5- One of the TV's in the bedroom did not work and from the state of it, has not been working for a while. The landlord showed no intent to fix it anytime soon and blamed customers for stealing things! In summary, I would not recommend this property till the above issues are fixed.
