Great hotel. Lovely staff. Rooms could do with some charging points near the beds but other than than they were decent sized, clean and well appointed. In a great location to get to Newcastle or pop over to the Stadium of Light like we did.

We held our wedding reception yesterday and what can I say but the venue, staff, amenities were absolutely fantastic! Very helpful and attentive staff, nothing was too much bother, ample parking with first four hours free, very clean, comfortable beds, unlimited choices for breakfast, very large pool and hotel was very clean. Would highly recommend! The staff ensured our big day went like clock work 😃

Staff excellent, breakfast pretty good and the rooms are pretty good too, what let's this hotel down is the fact it has no air conditioning and the rooms are super hot. Plus thirty degrees in our room with windows that open approximately four inches. The hotel does however provide electric fans to give some comfort though. Probably will not stay here again.

I have stayed in Village hotels all over and this one was by far the worst, unhelpful staff, unclean room, windows that wouldn’t open and unsettling stains on the sheets

We were visiting our family in Whitley Bay . The hotel was unable to provide a bedsheet for covering at night as temperature both outside and in the room was slightly uncomfortable. The biggest letdown was that we were informed on the second morning that we will be charged a parking charge of £5 per night . There was no mention of this when we booked , nor were told when we checked in . Also the rooms need updating . Carpets look dated.

Rooms although clean were too warm and stuffy. They are in need of a freshen up ovetall Upon arriving back from an evening out we were unable to have a drink at the bar to finish our night out. As this was 10pm on a Saturday i found it totally unacceptable. No actual bar times are displayed so closure is left to the discretion of the bar manager which is not good enough.

Dinning in this hotel it was the worst I've ever experienced. Children running amuck. I sat on at a table between to uneducated families who held a noisy conversation across my table. My service was slow to start , initially I chose Fish and chips only to be told there was none. I chose a starter and a main course. The started took 45 minutes to arrive, a simple microwave thing. after 5 minutes the main course was pushed in front of me. To be fair presentation was good a hollow of reconstituted spud, a few peas in the centre not fully defrosted and a bit of liver hung over the stack. suffered 2 pints of larger over the 1hr45 and just short of a £50.00 bill. Avoid this hotel.

Decent hotel but no air con in the rooms. Windows open about 10mm so can get a bit sticky. The rooms do have a fan but that only does so much. Clean bed. Clean bathroom. Good food in the bar, drinks expensive. Gym and pool also but didn’t use as I’m fat. But they are always busy.

The room was clean. Good gym and sauna facilities. I stayed in a club room. The access to the room involved walking through the restaurant / bar area. In rush hours it's challenging to walk through narrow spaces between chairs and tables with luggage. Probably making a different access way to the rooms would be a good idea. I am happy with the helping attitude of the staff. A great place to stay
