Winckley Square Residences

This is the 5th time we’ve stayed here in a year. Excellent stay, we were a little early for check in, however we had been sent the check in details earlier, so we entered the building to see if the room was ready, I was greeted at our room by a staff member/owner, he was putting the heating on in all the rooms because it was so cold - very thoughtful touch. He even helped us upstairs with our bags. Couldn’t fault the service. We stayed for 3 nights - the only thing I would of loved was a few more kitchen accessories/appliances so we could cook properly. However it didn’t ruin our stay and we will definitely be back. Thanks for another great stay!

Great location and well looked after property and room

Perfect

Our third time staying here, always easy check in and nice rooms. This is the 3rd different room we have stayed in and the beds are so comfortable, in fact wish I could take the pillows home with me. Only thing I have to complain about is, this time the cleaner was knocking on room doors before check out time asking to be in them, it may have only been 10 minutes, but this time we needed all the time we had to get sorted and leave. It wasn't just our room she was doing this to, please speak to the cleaner on that day to ask her not to do that, its not very nice feeling rushed.

A return visit to this hotel, this time in a bigger room. Impressed with it the 1st time, hence the return visit and will no doubt be returning again in the future. Easy access to the building and room with codes supplied via email. The room was lovely and clean and the windows were open when we got there, which was a great help as it was a warm day, I would like to see a better cooling fan provided in the room though. All-in-all another great night in Preston at Winckley Square, thank you.

Quaint, quiet, centrally located

It is a lovely hotel. So much history. I love staying in unique places like this. There are two downsides. The first is that it’s really easy to get lost. Being an old Municipal building and everything looking similar, it’s easy to get turned around. The second was the gym and access to it. I found the gym really sad for the type of hotel this is. Also, accessing the gym was very difficult.

Great stay

We stayed 1 night and the property is as described and it is a great little flat for a family of 3. Access to the kitchen is a big plus and we appreciated the snacks including also mini cereal boxes, a little bottle of milk and tree mini water bottles in the fridge.

I can't say enough great things about our experience. It was really like walking into a well appointed apartment and we felt very at home as soon as we walked in. Bed was very comfortable and we also appreciated the small touches like finding a small bottle of milk in the fridge. It's a very short walk from Preston Station, and beautiful Avenham Park is right around the corner. Very short walk to city center also. Great location and accomodation!

Great apartment, but for us the bed was too hard and no great pillows. Everything thing ele was excellent.

Excellent location for a stay over after a night out in Preston. Super clean, straight forward check in/check out. Really quiet. Overall a great experience.

Amazing place! Nice, clean and a pretty place! Bed was comfortable and location was perfect! Loved the snacks and milk/water offered, very thoughtful! 10/10 Would definitely recommend & stay again :)

Location

Nice place with a good view over Winckley Square. We just booked one night local to get out of the house as our son was having friends around for his 21st. As we left the 20 and 21yr olds behind, was quite surprised to be met by the unmistakable smell of weed in the living room of the flat. Not a massive problem to be fair, but the sickly smell does tend to linger. The flat is quite nicely fitted out in a faux art deco style. Little things let it down though - the sofa back was broken, so not comfortable to sit on, the towel radiator in the bathroom either desperately needs bleeding or the flow is blocked (only bottom 6 inch gets warm) so the bathroom was cold. The lounge and bedroom radiators were switched off, so the flat was cold and unwelcoming when we arrived. I switched them on and it warmed up reasonably quickly. There were little crappy portable electric heaters in each room, the type you get in construction site porta-cabins. Doesn't really go with the art deco ambience they've tried hard to create. Would it not be better to just switch on the rads? Getting in via the key safe was easy and the bed was comfortable. Not bad overall.

Great Room, Great Location,Well Presented

Well lit up buildings. Easy to find. Really clean. Liked the milk, tea, bags or crisps provided. All amenities taken care of

Highly recommend. Absolutely perfect apartment. Super location and impeccably clean. High spec finish...everything you could possibly need and more. A few minutes walk from the station. Very comfortable and would def stay again.

Perfectly situated on corner of winckley square, quiet at night but right on the doorstep of the town centre and avenham park....simple, elegant decor and loved the bath...highly recommended

Room was a good size & well appointed. Provision of a kitchen is very appreciated. Only complaint was that the toilet/ shower room was incredibly small with nowhere to actually put stuff. Even if couldn't be enlarged at least some shelves would be a help.
