YHA Swanage - Hostel

It was good and near to the swanage beach

Amazing experience, fantastic food and service, clean toilets

Unbelievably cheap stay. Lovely en suite room with sea view. Staff very friendly and helpful. My first stay in a YHA in nearly 30 years and experience was so good I’m looking to come again. Only gripe would be internet signal in rooms a bit poor

Loved the fact there was a lounge and the kitchen was great. The gentleman on the desk was lovely too.

It was a really good trip to the yha in Swanage as it was really clean and the bed was comfy and the bedding was cosy and comfortable and the price was very reasonable I didn’t use the lounge or bar so can’t comment about those things or the kitchen overall it was a good experience

It was totally spoilt when a large group of rugby club families arrived and took over the building for 2 of our three nights. Loud shouting until the early hours. Children running around the corridors and in and out the building No YHA staff on duty at night.

Amazing experience with stay and facilities available, its present in a very price location and nearby to a lot of other amenities

Cheap and cheerful. The bedside lights could do with being angled differently and less bright.

We stayed for in this lovely YHA for two nights and wished it was for longer. The staff were so friendly and Gary went out of his way to accommodate us at short notice. The hostel is modern, clean, spacious save very well located. They've done a fabulous job of trying to keep guests safe during COVID. Thank you for all your care. We hope to return again soon!

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The YHA is positioned perfectly for all the local amenities. The place was spotlessly clean. I'll definitely stay they again when back in Swanage.

I enjoyed my stay here, kitchen was nicely laid out and spotless. Great to see recycling provisions too. Shower fine and shared a room for a very reasonable price. For a hostel i slept well and was not disturbed by noises outside my room. Great access to public transport and beach. Would stay again

Airy, spacious and sparkling clean this lovely Victorian Villa with views of the sea feels like a home from home.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 night stay at YHA Swanage. All areas of the hostel were clean and tidy including the common areas, my dorm room and the toilet/shower areas. The location is great. A short walk to town although it is uphill coming back. There’s an off road car park. I paid the extra £6.75 to have the breakfast. Pretty good choice and quality. There was cooked breakfast (sausage, veggie sausage, bacon, beans, scrambled egg, grilled tomato, hash brown), white and brown bread/toast, cereals (cornflakes, rice crispies, weetabix, muesli), pastries (mini croissants and mini pain aux chocolate), ham, cheese, yoghurt, fruit (apples and oranges) and orange juice/apple juice/water/tea/coffee. Each bed has individual light, plug including usb and shelve. Each room has a sink and hand wash which I find really useful. There are no lockers in the rooms though. The shower cubicles I used were clean, you can adjust the height of the shower head and it’s a good powerful shower. The only slight negative is that the cubicle light is on a timer so when you shower you have to open the shower door within the cubicle and wave your hand around to get the light back on. It’s not a big deal but nice to know in advance that you’re likely to get plunged into darkness. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

great place t\o stay its been refurbished so kitchen has a sea view and great amenities the showers are hot and powerful really close to the centre great little shops and a mini supermarket live music guaranteed every week end and great walks
