I had a room close to what sounded like the heating system, as I could hear the burner starting up / running, I guess that I just drew the short straw. But it was only a low level soun so didn't wake me up. The entrance hall and stairwell looked in need of repainting and the mat at the entrance looked very worn. But actually it was quite comfortable and the breakfast offering was quite varied. So once you got past the first impressions it was quite comfortable.
It is also only a short walk from a station on the line from the airport to the city centre .

Well it was as i expected but location was good for city and airport.Helsinki is expensive and this hotel is expensive for what it is.Good breakfast friendly staff.tv was not working safe deposit box key pad broken hotel gave us a master key so that was ok. Sauna only open in the morning pool useless.

It was abit suureal, as the hotel had ni lights on when I arrived (technical reasons with wires---it happens!), so check in was with flashlights and there was not much to doi in te room without any light...but they were polite, breakfast was quite okey. Parking nearby---not too much space available.

We arrived after midnight. Doors were locked. Waited for 15 mins in -6 degrees for the security to arrive and open the door. It's a good hotel but make sure that you ring the hotel in advance if you are checking in late.

The property is next to all the great public transportation in Helsinki. The train is a 5 minute walk up the hill. Tram #1 comes right in front of the hotel. Several buses come right next to it. The hotel has a daily buffet breakfast. The building is very old “Soviet block” style. It is a budget hotel for sure. Accommodations are simple.

Basic student quarters like room: but nicely quiet (overlooks tramlines - but they stop at 6pm) + a park (of course):
Good sauna facility though (especially men's wooden bench design) - so do take op to use as only available in morning + nice to have an adjacent swim pool - which you must use to get the trompe l'oeil pic experience they use in the - in effect, false! - come on pic for the hotel (at side here) i.e. that's' NOT the 'VIEW' you get from the hotel, anywhere!

Dated, desperately needs refurbishing. Very basic room, mould in bathroom, hairdryer not working, depressing room with curtain too small so light streams in. Cheap, stained plastic covered chairs in lobby. Breakfast ok but not good - lots of flies. I was kept awake by next room noise of tv, etc. Should be a lot cheaper for what it offers. However staff are friendly so two stars.
