I was kinda surprised that the hotel was kinda isolated, I thought it would be more accessible to the city center. There was one public bus that stopped outside the hotel. And walking down there the first time was kind of an adventure.

Located in a beautiful area. Very spacious room with a spacious bathroom as well. Lots of free parking space, although it was all taken by the time I arrived (late), but there was a spacious garage option that wasn't too expensive either. A lot of options to choose from at breakfast.

We arrived late afternoon & ordered dinner from the restaurant. The staff mixed up the menu order & gave my travel partner (with severe food intolerances & disabilities) my spicy dish. The dishes looked similar, so we only realised this after my travel partner had already eaten a portion of my spicier dish. This then resulted in my travel partner becoming severely ill & missing a full 3-days of a prepaid (€450) 4-day business confernce event at the hotel, all due to this staff incompetence. Also, when we drew this to the attention of the staff at the time, there wasn't even an apology & they were put out, that we were merely asking for their mistake of suppling the wrong menu orders to us, to be rectified. At the time, I actually ate the wrong order brought out to me. But in retrospect I should have also insisted my wrong dish was likewise changed. However, unfortunately all the damage was already done. Their negligence resulted in my travel partner (& my carer) with severe food intolerances & disabilities, then being severely ill & confined to their room, trying to recover from the staff mistake for 3-days. In addition to being out the hotel costs, my travel partner also lost €450 ref the prepaid conference expenses for an event they were unable to attend. In summary, the staff negligence & inattention resulted in a complete disaster of a stay for us both. If you have any food intolerances, allergies or disabilities beware, I wouldn't recommend this Scandic Rosendahl Hotel!

The hotel stay was overall very good. But a few things need improvement : 1) Parking space for each car was too small that everyone had trouble finding a spot without a car parked beside. Otherwise we couldn't get out of the car! 2) The opening hours were only written downstairs on ground floor. So we wasted the kids' drink service for we couldn't find the bar opening hours in the room. 3) The room and bathroom was outdated and wasn't clean. But we enjoyed the stay overall, the location was perfect!

We stayed there with dog and appreciated that hotel is pet friendly - just what we needed. The location is lovely and we enjoyed the area a lot, many places to go for a walk to, nice beach and good parking lot.

Very beautiful location by the lake. Nice views. Not crowded. Relaxed atmosphere. Check in was fast and fluent. Free parking, gym, swimming pool & saunas. Child-friendly. That being said, the hotel is a bit dated: elevator was stuck for like 10-15 seconds once, keycards wouldn't open the door from time to time. Bottom line: despite some small flaws we liked it.

My resent stay with scandic Rosendahl in mind, i felt that wierd Feeling, where everything is ok, but nothing is great! The room was big, the bathroom had a tub, but somehow lacked atmosphere. Dining at the hotel was a low point though. The hotel was understraffed and although was kinds Got the food in god time a lot of the other guests did’nt which created an ackward mood. The seating area felt temporary and again lacked atmosphere. Scandic is OK, but for longer Stays i would see what Else is availiable.

Basic rooms for a decent price. Pictures on website looked better than reality! Bad bits was we’d booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Sofa bed wasn’t made up when we checked in. I mentioned to reception on the way out and she said another team were on their way round to do the beds. Fair enough I thought. We went out. Came back fairly late with two tired kids (6 and 4). Sofa bed still wasn’t made up. Went to reception who said the housekeepers have now gone home, and no one was available to do it. Gave us some sheets and that and were told to make it ourselves. Gave us a carton of kids juice to say sorry. Breakfast was nice. Staff were friendly. Location was lovely.

The room was nice and clean, but the area is very secluded. There is nothing around - i was without car, and the nearest supermarket is 2,5 km away. There is basically only the forest nearby. The hotel has a restaurant, but it is not cozy, and the food not tasty and overpriced.

This was an excellent choice for families with kids. Kids had their own reception area, playroom and the grounds around the hotel are breathtakingly beautiful! There is something for everyone. We had lots of fun and if we go to Tampere again, this is where we will stay.

Its ok, but really needs a refurbishment. the surrounding area is very nice, being slightly out of town the hotel is situated within a wooded area alongside a lake. Its functional, but to todays standards and also to newer scandic hotels, this one is in need of some attention. Staff all pleasant and accommodating.
