Really loved this hotel. The lovely couple that own it are very friendly and comprehensive. The rooms are furnished tk a high level and the bathroom is modern and highly functional. Location two blocks behind the JW Marriott (where I last stayed and experienced terrible service) is great.

The Athenee is a Great 3 Star Hotel that is a 5 minute walk from the La Croisette Blvd and beach area, as well as, 5 minutes from the train station to take day trips. We caught the 210 bus from Cote D'Azur airport in Nice and the walk was about 10 minutes. The room was comfortable and clean, and the shower had hot water and the air conditioner worked good, bring your own toiletries and wash clothes. The owners were very helpful in giving us directions. There are 2 markets directly across the street. Everything was great would definitely recommend to others.

Very old outdated place with smelly rooms and loud due to traffic and neighboring rooms. No elevator. Host was pleasant.

The owner was very helpful & friendly. Wi-Fi was not working throughout the 3 night stay due to work going on to re-furbish the hotel (reception & internet). Would stay again, although Wi-Fi is a must for business travel.

Great hosts that made us feel extremely welcome. Modern clean and comfortable room. Very good location that was central to all of the attractions such as beach, train and restaurants. Wifi was temperamental at times. I would stay here again and would recommend it to others.

It was our very first trip to Europe and we decided to stay in Cannes to enjoy the beach. Hotel location was the highlight! It's a couple blocks from the Cannes train station, a very short walk to the beach, around the corner from the main shopping street, and around the corner from Europcar rental. The couple who ran the hotel are super sweet and spoke excellent English (which helped so much since we didn't know much French). They found train schedules for us to our next destination and sweet Aurelia (the young girl who checked us in) answered all our questions the best she could and even wrote all her recommendations for restaurants and the addresses so we could find them. He even gave us local advice on where to visit in Antibes to get the best views of the French Riviera. That really topped off our experience in the south coast of France. The room was tiny, especially the toilet room, but it didn't bother us much since we were never in our room much except to sleep. Besides the toilet room, everything else was perfect for a short 3 day trip. Would definitely stay here again!

A pleasant small Hotel, good for a shorter Business trip. Rooms towards the street can be a bit noisy from the traffic + in one of the rooms the minibar fridge did not work, otherwise a good overall experience. Very polite and helpful owners and staff.

The staff was very nice and helping. Rooms were clean and nice. The hotel is located in the inner city and you can get from there anywhere by foot (the old town is about 15-20 minutes by foot). There are lots of restaurants about 5 minutes from the hotel. The shopping street is 1 min away.
Wifi was unfortunately pretty weak.
Beach is 5-10 minutes away by foot. The public beach is very small and there are sometimes homeless people, but there are 2 beaches which are coordinated by the city (1 umbrella and 2 chairs are 16€ for half a day), those have fences and a nice beach. But not too big.
