We were extremely pleased with this hotel. The staff was pleasant and helpful, the facilities were modern, and the pool was an unexpected pleasure. We loved Sarlat and Hotel de Selves! We recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Dordogne region of France. You won't be disappointed.

Stayed here before, five or six years ago, and chose it again because it has parking outside or garage parking for 13eu a night. No restaurant, but that is not a problem as so many good place to eat in the town. Staff very friendly and always there to help. Would recommend to anyone as standard is absolutely excellent.

It is far from the train station but I walked it with my luggage and would do it again. The staff were very accommodating and arranged a rental car for me (picking me up at the hotel). I loved the pool (I was the ony one swimming) and the breakfast was wonderful Would definitely stay here again!

We booked the Grand Hotel as its facilities included a health suite including a pool,sauna & jacuzzi to relax in after a 4hr drive,however upon arrival we were told that the Jacuzzi was unavailable. I also requested a bath in the bathroom which was ignored as we were placed in a room with only a shower.. 3rd minor whinge was the fact the double bed was made up of 2 single mattresses which inevitably during the night parted. And finally due to these discrepancies, i asked for a complimentary breakfast or even a price reduction on the €16 pp cost,which was dismissed as i made my booking through Hotels.com..whatever that meant..

Weather was cool.the location was excellent. But these hotels should not be 4 star it should be 2 and 1/5 The noise was 2 much. The bed was disaster. We couldn't sleep comfortably. The tv power was on all night that makes room shine. They should have the tv that power should be under the tv not a side.

Spacious lobby and greetings of front desk impressed us at the beginning, followed by informative recommendations for our dinner in town with detailed map. Although swimming pool (which was one of the important reasons to choose this hotel) was closed for repair, I got good impression to such friendly and helpful staffs and clean and spacious room.

I spent one night on this hotel on August 14. This is a nice hotel but it cannot qualify as a 4-star hotel, according to internationl standards. I would rather say it is a decent 3-star hotel... The room is tiny. Breakfast is fine; and the service is correct. The hotel is located in a nice area, walking distance to where the Saturday market takes place, which is a real must!!

We stayed here about 10 years ago and rated this Hotel highly but were a little disappointed this time. The room only had a shower [no bath] and a window straight onto the main road at ground level. The weather was very good but the pool cover was on the whole of our stay with just 1 portion of the cover open. The adjoining garden was a bit overgrown and not very inviting.The staff were very helpful though !

The stay was very good. However there was some confusion with my booking and I wish the hotel would have contacted me directly when they realized this instead of just canceling my reservation without telling me. Thankfully they still had the same room available, but I would have appreciated a heads up. They had my phone number and email address when I made the booking so there was no reason for them not to contact me other than laziness. And on top of them, when I arrived and told me my reservation was canceled, they didn't even apologize for the inconvenience, instead made it seem like it was my fault! Other than the initial struggle, the hotel was really great; very comfortable and really very friendly. Breakfast was overpriced.

The hotel was well located and within easy walking distance to old town Sarlat. The parking was easy and free on the street for both days of our stay. The staff was very helpful and quite knowledgeable. However, the room we were given was down a dark main floor corridor and although large and spacious, felt like a cave. The free Wi-Fi was difficult to access and it was incredibly slow and/or didn't work at all. The access to the computer was convenient and much appreciated but it was also quite slow and didn't work well for us due to a bad or nonexistent connection. A large selection breakfast was offered each morning for hotel guest at 14 euro each.
