Excelent hotel, great WIFI, great furnitures (besides that it is everything black). In a bit isolated neiborhood, but nothing to worry about.

I chose the element for its good price and good location, it was quite a nice hotel, the entrance towards the reception is beautiful there's a lift to the rooms and overall not so bad. However being summer in Paris the room was super hot in temperature with no chance for air to blow in, the Air Conditioning / Climate control was broken and we were told that it would be looked at but was never sorted we spent 3 nights struggling to sleep and be in comfort. And the water from the taps at the coldest was still lukewarm....

The shower smelled like urine. It’s floor was dirty. AC was blowing dust that we had to wear a mouth cover to be able to breath. The hotel wanted us to pay a commission when checking in. I thought I had paid everything. A horrible place to stay.

Terrible my room what’s almost one block away from hotel: it did not have a phone. Noisy could not even sleep. I had to complain about my neighbors having sexual for hours non stop and I had my child with me. They charged me a hotel fee and never clean my room.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. This was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in and Intravel often. The female receptionist was extremely rude at check in. There is no standard of customer service. At one point the receptionist stood around having what was clearly a personal conversation with two other ladies while we waited for assistance and then acted like she was annoyed she had to stop to assist me. The hotel looks much better in the pictures than when you get there. Also the elevator is so small, after checking in we had to ride up one at a time with our luggage and we are just average size. It says it fits 4 people but that's with no bags and almost all touching. Don't bother upgrading to a suite. The suite had no stand up shower, only a tub (a nice one) out in the room. The rooms also had an odor. We don't know if it was coming through the vents but when we came back from touring it smelled like someone took a huge crap in the room. Everyone said theirs smelled like that as well. It was just an overall bad experience and I would never go back to this hotel.

Unless you are budget driven, this is not a standard 3 star hotel. Look elsewhere. Otherwise, it might work if you just need to go to crash at night. For that, it meets the purpose. Please have realistic expectations and cultural awareness. Bathroom is smaller than the size of a cruise ship stateroom bathroom. Be aware of space. It has a tiny elevator for those who cannot take stairs. Quiet area but not centric. Lots of walking. Front desk is friendly.... stay away from cleaning crew. Most definitely will not repeat the stay.

The hotel is quaintly located in a central area of Paris, France close to many shops, cafes, transportation. The one concern I had during my stay at the Element Hotel was their substandard housekeeping practices. Unfortunately, I lifted up the bed sheets in the hotel room I was given and uncovered a large noticeable yellow urine stain on my bed sheets. Meanwhile, I complained to the front desk staff and was informed the bed sheets are changed every three days. I was not compensated in any way by the hotel considering my dreadful experience.

Upon arrival the huge apartment I had paid for turned out to be down the block in another building. You needed two passwords to get through two different gates, only to walk into a tiny courtyard overflowing with smelly trash bins. Had to step around these to get to your front door. Loud neighbors. Music blasting. TV loud. Shady characters drinking beer & smoking. Right at the first gate. Not hotel guests I don’t think, but regular residents. The apartment itself was divided by a long concrete stairwell, bathroom at bottom, bedroom top. In the middle of the night, sleepy, needing to go to the bathroom I was afraid of falling down the stairs. The views out the windows were not “city views” but opened up to bird droppings on a shingle. There was no way I was staying here five days. I immediately went down the street to the hotel itself, demanded another room, a hotel room. In the hotel. They good naturedly complied, very understanding. I was given in turn a room that was 1/4 of the size I had already paid for a two story apartment. There was no way they were of equal value. I feel like I was ripped off. But I had just travelled across France to get to Paris, was tired, wanted to rest. The new room was a tiny box. The shower sprayed out onto a concrete floor with a drain. No room. Staff downstairs was kind & helpful. The view looked over a pleasant courtyard. Location close to bistros al& bars. But the size of the room and terrible condition/ lay out of apartment was rank.

I stayed for two nights at The Element Hotel which was pretty well located, around a 15 minute walk from Bastille and close to the metro stations. The staff at the hotel were friendly and the check in process was fine, however I found the room itself to be much smaller than expected and noisy - the walls are paper thin. I didn't include breakfast with my booking however the hotel provides pastries in the reception area which are freshly baked each morning - a nice touch for guests to enjoy on the way out the door.

First thing is the great location. Canal St Martin and Le Marais are excellent nightlife districts so great evening meals and casual drinks are easy to come by. Much better than charging around on the metro all evening looking for a good bite or paying tourist trap prices. I booked this property last minute after another local hotel cancelled my reservation just 3 days before the trip. Needless to say my nerves about jumping into a reservation were settled upon arrival with an incredibly warm greeting from Nick! Lots of football chat and local reccomendations ensued. Incredibly generous hosting. Sure the rooms are a little small, but it's Paris, what do you need other than a bed, a shower and a kettle? They are smartly decorated and the bed was reaaaally comfortable leading to oversleeping at leat once. A great stay and will likely stay again on a weekend away to come!
