Grand Hôtel de l'Europe

Very basic, dated decor, cramped room with no sense of luxury. Rude reception staff. Overall very shoddy. Would not recommend.

Character especially the tiny lift. Everything one needed. TV only in French, bathroom noise all night from plumbing, carpet looked old, left luggage only for a charge - mean.

Great service and friendly staff. slightly damaged shower head and didn't provide any soap of shampoo.

Gute Ausgangslage. Bus Metro oder einfach walking.

The room was a bit small but it's was clean. The building is old but charming and is very close to the tren station, restaurant and convenient stores.

Room with its own shower and toilet is extremely small as if you are sleeping in your toilet, its around 10 M2. didnt clean the room eventhough i asked for it to be done by placing the card on the door handle, Staff was friendly, especially at the restaurant. location is perfect 10 m away from Metro line4

Had power outages twice out of our four days stay. Very noisy at night as it is close to the street, however there are lots of restaurants close by

Location is great! Lot of restaurants to choose from, also small marketplace in front of hotel unfortunately, no fridge or microwave in room to store snacks therefore hotel is great just for a couple days!!

Just a short walk (~10min) from Gare du Nord, Grand hotel de l’Europe was a lovely stay. I stayed in a twin room on the 7th floor. It had amazing views, the room was sufficiently clean, clean bedding and towels. Hotel staff were really accommodating, we were able to leave our luggage before check-in and after check-out until our train and sorted out any requests we had. They speak good English as well. The hotel is less than a few minutes to Gare du l’Est train and metro which was very convenient. There was a nice bistro that serves simple meals next door and does good breakfast deal. We didn’t try hotel breakfast so cannot comment on that. A lift is available but it is very small fits max 2 people without luggage, but we just went one by one with luggage so it really was no problem. Walls between rooms are thin so you can hear the TV from neighbouring rooms. There were only a couple minor requests for hotel to add in future to improve stay - be provided with a bath mat, and a kettle (I missed my tea). Overall I had a really pleasant and easy stay and I would visit again.

We had a terrible experience staying at this hotel for several reasons. Very small room size. Hotel staff weren’t helpful at all. Noises from outside during the nights. Cold room temperature. Bed, bed sheets and Quilt covers were dusty and unhygienic due to that my whole family suffered with terrible cough and we couldn’t sleep. Overall not a great place to stay for your vacation.

Nice place to stay in the heart of Paris. Neat and clean room with rather small private bathroom, good for budget travelers. We got a room in the 6th floor and had a nice view of Eiffel Tower & Sacré-Cœur Basilica, Montmartre.

Room clean and adequate. Microscopic bathroom and elevator. But for a 2-star hotel in Paris, you get what you pay and what you expect.

Pros. Location Cons. Uncomfortable bed, even worse pillows Noise from construction next door from early morning. You can hear toilets flushing and water running from other rooms. Shower is dreadful but once you get it worked out there is plenty of hot water. Three out of 4 light globes didn’t work so only had light over bed and no light in hallway told them about globes nothing done. Hand basin was replaced during my stay but nobody bothered to clean the mess left by plumber. Don’t waste your money worst place I have ever stayed

It was a raggedy hotel. It needs some repair work. The location is great. Everything else, Meh.

An Old Parisian hotel. Small but cozy. Very convenient to train stations,busses and metro. You will love their small lift. Many places to eat and buy food nearby.
