A no frills hotel which was clean and comfortable.
All i needed for my stay in Tarbes.
The room looked newly decorated and I'd be happy to stay there again.

Great stay for $. Small but nice remodel. If have mobility issues don’t recommend it. Narrow spiral staircase, no elevator, checkin is at 5PM only. Not staffed from 12:30pm-5pm. Breakfast ok. Many restaurants close Mondays. Good one Le Monocle is open M-Sat. Royalty cafe, Xavier Berger chocolates are award winners!!

This is very convenient to the train station. The neighborhood doesn't have much to offer, but it was perfect for a quick overnight. There is parking on the street, and that's not hard to find after 5 or so, but would be really tough earlier. But if you're coming in or leaving by train, it's perfect. Breakfast is nice, too.

I selected Hotel de l'Avenue for my overnight in Tarbes while on a moto-vacation in the region. It is a small family ran business and I found the facilities to be clean, comfortable and adequate. My room was typical of older construction and smallish. Same with the bathroom. The host was very kind and agreeable. The only parking is available on the street. Centre ville is a 10+min walk.

I found Hotel de l' Avenue to be a charming family run hotel. My room' s condition was fine. Recently renovated, clean, bed with soft matress, hot water available all the time. Hotel lacks a meeting place since the reception is practically a corridor leading to the rooms. I was lucky to have a french speaking companion since the owners and stuff can hardly speak English. It is conveniently located close to the train station and just 10min from town center. Tarbes is a lovely town in mid Pyrenees with excellent buildings dated back to the 19th century and a good place to have as base for exploring the area (far better than the touristic Lourdes).

Malheureusement très bruyant, que ce soit les gens qui descendent en claquant les valises, discussions dans les escaliers... C'est indépendant de l'hôtel mais cela dénote un manque d'isolation phonique.
