I absolutely loved this hotel . From the moment we checked in with the friendliest of welcomes the staff were fantastic. We parked opposite the hotel . The room was gorgeous with a view overlooking the loire. It was a superior double and was simply fantastic for the price we paid. A short stroll along the river front takes you to bars and retaurants. I would not hesitate to stay here again. . The bar prices were very reasonable too. We will definately come here again

Parking easy. Great central location. The check in was a pleasure; the hotel reception comfortable; the garden lovely. The room overlooking the Loire, clean and bright. Huge bath with shower over; L’Occitane products; large towels; efficient heated towel rail; separate w/c off the room lobby. The staff were extremely helpful. I would happily stay here again.

We really loves our stay here! The hotel was so lovely, very boutique and quaint. Great location. Staff had good English and were very helpful. We got breakfast the one day and it was good. Would recommend staying here!

Everything about the hotel was spot on. We were met at reception by Nicholas who couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Plenty of public parking spaces opposite the hotel entrance . Our room and the hotel was very clean and nicely decorated Excellent breakfast, would highly recommend, good value

This is a lovely hotel. It is right on the Loire and very central. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room is impeccably clean, with a comfortable bed. It is completely quiet at night with brilliant curtains that keep the light out. Breakfast is delicious and great value. We found parking to be fairly easy and we found a spot opposite the hotel. Saumur is a beautiful city and we had a fantastic visit. I highly recommend Hôtel Anne d'Anjou.

Loved this hotel it was under the chateau and we had a lovely view of it. Nice location, well decorated and nice and clean. The room had everything you needed and there was a nice bar and garden area. The pool was nice and heated.

Hôtel was tired, and not as good as when we stayed before Covid

We stayed over on our way down to Biscarosse. The hotel is beautiful, wonderful friendly staff and very nice rooms like a home from home. The pool was lovely after a morning exploring the castle and local squares etc. I would absolutely recommend.

The swimming pool was TINY, pictures are deceptive. it was overrun with children the entire time we stayed, we didn’t find a single time to use it where we could even get in and out of the water with ease around the family that had taken over the area. Their swimming items were strewn along the edge of the pool area drying - towels, swimsuits, dressing gowns - everything. So it wasn’t picturesque it was a families washing line. The carpet in the room is the type that should be used on heavy traffic hotel corridors and airport lounges. It felt horrid underfoot, was made from plastic and was not nice to get out of bed on to. There was nothing luxurious or nice about it. It felt cheap. The curtains in our room had holes in all over. The cleaning products used within the hotel didn’t seem eco friendly. The bathroom products weren’t refilled, the coffee machine used single use pods that go to landfill. Sachets of all things to accompany it. The restaurant wasn’t equipped, nor would it accommodate vegetarian diners nevermind vegan diet. In this day and age this should be basic provisioning. Having ran chalets in France for ten years, this is easily doable and should be accommodated. Local supermarkets contain plenty of options to offer an vegan breakfast so I have no idea why this is so difficult or why cheese containing rennet as a vegetarian option is suggested. We arrived on a very hot day +32 to check in, and we had to stand waiting a long time while given dining suggestions.

Superb hotel located right on the south bank of the Loire under the shadow of the Château. Excellent buffet breakfast and bar.

Excellent eco ethics, the staff were most welcoming, english spoken and the room was well appointed. The hotel was very close to the town centre, would book again

Staff and property were excellent. Breakfast was as beautiful as it was bountiful. Area nearby was perfect for walking and discovering shops and restaurants.

Great property in the center of everything. 1 min walk to Chateau. Breakfast was great also rooms have AC which is important in summer months.

Fantastic Hotel and met all our expectations. Room was very good. Breakfast was superb. Very good value! Bar area very comfortable and drinks reasonably priced. Beautiful art deco style hotel with an amazing staircase. Very clean and tidy hotel. Staff were brilliant! Will definitely be staying here again particularly as the partner restaurant located across the courtyard was fablulous.
