This is a lovely family owned hotel in a beautiful location. We had dinner and breakfast and both were great and good value. The owner couldn't have been more friendly and all staff were really lovely towards our dog as well.

Property gave the appearance of being neglected.Cold and unwelcoming.The 'Receptionist' on arrival took ages to appear and then after check-in went missing.Advertised facilities were not available ie restaurant and bar.

The Hotel de Lac is set in a stunning location overlooking a lake. The rooms are fine in line with its 2 star rating and the owner and staff were very personable and helpful. We had a meal in the dining room overlooking the lake and it was of a high standard. The local town of Colberg is very historic and it is overlooked by a n ancient castle. In summary highly recommended.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this hotel. Lovely view Over the lake. Owner/chef cooks really good meals. Staff are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. Good location for seeing the area around.

A lovely place to stay right beside the lake - wonderful view from the restaurant. Breakfast was filling but not special. Our room was clean and comfortable but a little tired. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would certainly return again.

The rooms themselves are small and tidy -- perfectly reasonable for the price -- they have a wonderfully refreshing view of the lake. Situated well in a great village, right at the foot of Combourg Castle. The owners were so hospitable and generous with us! We had a lovely time there.

We chose this because it was the only hotel available to see Mont Saint Michel that was dog friendly and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and welcoming and even welcomed our Golden Retriever with open arms. We had a fantastic dinner even though we arrived quite late in the evening and the view of the lake was so beautiful and calming. Highly recommended and not all that far from Michel if you have a car.

Room was small. Not clean. Got in late around 9:30PM, they would not give us the code to Free Internet. They kept saying not working, but I could see it on my phone.
The bath towels were the same size as face towels. No curtains on the windows, just some see through white material.

It was a most enjoyable stay in the peaceful surroundings of the Lac.So well located in the town beside other hotels and restaurants.However the quality of this hotels restaurant meant that you did not have to leave the hotel.If we ever dock at Cherbourg again we will stay here.
