Hotel Macchi is beautifully situated in Chatel with rooms facing the mountains and slopes.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We were given recommendations on sites to see and visits to do in the area.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the service is friendly and welcoming, and the food is our of this world.

Close to the resort centre and walking discrance to the ski lifts, the family run hotel has everything we needed and more. The bar areas and restaurant were excellent and the service was so friendly and helpful, going above and beyond in all respects.

Fabulous hotel in the centre of Chatel with easy access to and from. Great wellness centre, boot/ski room and cosy communal lounges. Complimentary buses run right outside the hotel to and from various ski lifts every ten minutes. We would stay again!!!

Lovely stay at this hotel in the middle of Chatel. Staff very friendly. Rooms nice and clean, we had a an apartment-style room (room 14-15), 2-beds, small hall and bathroom ideal for families. Breakfasts were great and pancakes in the bar after skiing were excellent!

A second trip, same good experience from a friendly team. Clean tidy with good facilities - rooms a little small but comfortable. We ate in the restaurant this time - perhaps a little pricey but good food and surroundings. Highly recommended.

This was our second stay at the Macchi. Once again we were impressed by the welcome from the staff. Ollivier in particular was extremely helpful in preparing our rented skis and boots and shuttling us to and from the slopes every day- his excellent advice and local knowledge was a great help ensuring we gained the most from our skiing.
The hotel has a great spa to recover in and a bar with a log fire- perfect to end the day.

We really enjoyed the sauna, hammam, swimming pool, the warm chalet-style decoration, the friendly staff, the large and well equipped, clean rooms, the warm welcome for our dog. The spacious dinning room had an interesting menu, the food was excellent and the waiters very professional. An indian-style massage service is proposed in a beautiful area downstairs and we found it to be of excellent quality. Throughout the hotel different scents are used to create a very pleasant environment. Our criticisms are minor: there is no hand basin in the separate toilet, we prefer a softer bed. Excellent value for money.

Our late check in was easy to arrange. We hired skies and boots direct from the hotel which was very convenient and were dropped at the main lift station by the hotels mini bus. The leisure facilities were good. Family room a little small for 4. Breakfast quite nice but expensive.

Overall, a good hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Spa area is good although out of season the pool was cool. The gym facility is limited with dated equipment. Rooms are traditionally decorated, but comfortable and spacious enough. A kettle would be a bonus although the hotel provided one with cups changed daily when asked. Reception staff were knowledgeable and very informative with a welcoming demeanour.

Fint hotel, veldig sentralt. Greit å få avklart på forhånd ang.tidlig utsjekk. Vi ville forlate hotellet før kl.8, men måtte betale turistskatt. Det var ingen som kunne ta i mot betalingen, de som jobbet i resepsjonen var ikke der. Det ordnet seg, men tok litt tid å få det avklart. Ellers fint med basseng og matbutikk rett over veien.
