Hôtel Mercure Nevers Pont de Loire

Nice staff, beautiful river view.

Établissement très bien situé avec un parking public juste à côté, gratuit, ce qui est idéal. La politique Mercure sur la climatisation est à revoir. Depuis le début des chaleurs, l'ensemble des établissements Mercure (6 en 2 mois) nous donne le même discours, au mot près. Notre système est difficile à programmer, il est vieux, et non, vous ne pouvez pas le régler dans vos chambres, bien qu’il y fasse plus de 25 degrés. On nous propose des ventilateurs, mais aux prix des chambres, on attend plus du rapport qualité-prix. Si l'objectif est de faire des économies d'énergie, on pourrait demander que le prix des chambres diminue également...

Decent hotel at a great location overlooking the Loire. The staff are friendly.

The stay was ok. Disappointed that when my 80 year old husband and myself aged 70, asked if someone could assust with luggage was just told "no". Breakfast room staff could have been more helpful and they certainly reacted better to french speaking than english speaking guests. Overall it served its purpose and the bar staff were a delight. We stayed 4 nights and hired 4 rooms for this family function.

Clean and comfortable beds, helpful staff. There was no air conditioning and the temperature was around 30 degrees. They lent us a fan, which helped.

Check in war komisch. Um 18:00 war eines unserer zwei Zimmer noch nicht bezugsbereit.

The hotel is OK, we found the aircon to struggle in the high temperatures. Breakfast: The plates and cups in breakfast weren’t that clean, (you had to dig around for a clean one) the empty tables weren’t cleared either, Room: and the pillows were lumpy like they’ve been washed on a fast spin. Bar: The bar was never staffed, so you had to go find someone in reception. You don’t sign for drinks, so at the end of the stay we had to really check the bill and a meal of over 100 euros had been added to our bill by mistake! The food and service at dinner (served by Tommy) was lovely. Nevers is a nice city to walk around. It’s a useful hotel for Magny Cours, but really dated and drab and musty.

Staff very attentive - nice restaurant and food . One main downfall was very very slow Internet. My USA cell phone speed connection was faster.

Room was large with a lovely view of the bridge over the Loire river. Staff were very friendly efficient and so helpful. Restaurant food was also very good. Enjoyed our stay.

Hotel is conveniently located near the city center. Ideal for business travelers. The staff is welcoming and the level of the amenities is more than adequate.
