From my point of view this is primarily a business hotel. But, if you are traveling with a car and need a place to sleep the night near Rennes, this is a very good pick. It is very empty on the weekend and the rates are low and parking is secure and free. There are several restaurants and a monoprix of the far side of the big traffic circle. But, the only other attraction in the area might be the University of Rennes main campus.

Hotel was clean and up to IBIS standards. Bar staff were friendly and welcoming. Small comment - the salad buffet in the dining room for evening service was uncovered for at least 2 hours prior to service and there were flies in the area. Ate elsewhere.

The staff here was fantastic. At check in Hotels.com had failed to pass on the reservation information so we had to wait for a good hour in vain late at night for it to show up. Luckily the conversation was great and we were offered a free beer each to pass the time. The property iteself was modern and clean, conveniently located too. Not the most picturesque of areas and shares its location with a KFC but a good place to rest if en route elsewhere.
