Although everything was perfect, the swimming pool was adequate but would benefit from a ramp so that elderly or handicapped people can step in more easily. At the moment, there is nothing to hold on to.

Our room was facing the ocean and a short walk was leading to the beach. Not really for swimming but very beautiful, especially at low tide. We did not use the pool but it was nice with lounge chairs around it. The breakfast was a nice buffet. The hotel is a 5’ drive from the picturesque harbor of La Cotiniere which has many shops and restaurants.

Nice and quiet “motel” (every room has an own entrance) with beautiful surroundings. Pretty easy walk to the fishing harbour and the restaurants there. I recommend to book a room with sea view. As the room has its own outdoor seating, you can sit outside your own room and enjoy the amazing view of the ocean (and you can buy also beverages from the reception). The room was styled in accordance of the surrounding area. There is no ac and as the heating was on, I had to sleep with my window open, but then again I like to sleep in a very cold room. If you don’t arrive by car or bicycle , getting here is a bit tricky, but you can take a bus to Saint-Pierre-d’Oleron and then a taxi from there.
