Nice, friendly hotel, room newly refurbished, bed very comfortable, and the room quiet at night because of shutters on the Windows. Also nice, quiet air conditioning. Two minute walk to the old town and a lovely walk down to the harbour. Parking at the hotel a bargain at 5 euros

Entering the designated room, we discovered that it lacked electricity. There was somebody working on the issue but without any guarantee of success. The staff did not think that that was a sufficient reason to provide different accommodation. The staff at the front desk seemed to be prepared to deny help no matter what the request was.

We felt the staff were not particularly welcoming and not all smartly dressed. They did not acknowledge us when passing the front desk or engage in conversation at any time. No information given re meals or timings. Staff were absent from the front desk in the mornings. They seemed to be more involved clearing breakfast. Refreshment tray in room inadequate. One teabag per room for two people staying overnight! Likewise milk cartons. Had to go down to reception to request for morning use. Asked if I wanted one or two! No coffee supplied without special request at reception. Paper cups supplied for hot drinks in room unsatisfactory and unpleasant. The hotel is in a convenient central position and clean, but the above issues marred our visit.

Although there is parking available, we were unable to park two motorcycles in their car park because we hadn’t reserved parking space. There was nowhere on the website, when booking to reserve parking. Not very impressed with this side of the hotel, other than that it was fine.

Stayed for 2 nights. In a handy location within 10 minutes walking distance of the port, but also 20 mins walk to the train station. In addition there is a laundrette just 100 metres away. I did not eat there but the restaurant looked quite good in the evening with quite a few guests using it.

Hotel parking is difficult to access, from a busy road through a narrow archway. Reception people nice, Maître d' less so - when we wanted lunch at 1.40 pm, he said without apology or explanation, "c'est terminé!" BUT breakfast and especially dinner were outstanding. Room was too small for comfort, and there was nowhere to put stuff, a wardrobe but no shelves. Wifi weak, only really worked in hotel lobby. But on the whole good value.
