Ideal location a short tram ride away from Old Nice, meaning it was quiet but still convenient and close to a choice of bakeries and restaurants as well as a shopping centre. The room was clean and extremely comfortable and the rooftop pool and bar perfect for a relaxing break.

This hotel has a fun, consistent aesthetic. They leaned into the maximalism trend in a clean understandable way. The staff gives great dining recommendations and it’s walkable to most needs. The pool, bar and restaurant are lovely. *They should add some missing details to make it feel more upscale: a gym, robes, washcloths, conditioner and coffee/tea.

Disappointed. Checked in to our room to find rubbish from the previous guests on the floor. There was also broken glass in the hallway outside the room that my girlfriend narrowly avoided. I informed reception about this who apologies, but nothing was done! The glass was still there for another 36 hours, and the rubbish in our room was never picked up. There was also no shampoo or conditioner in the shower, just a bar of soap that was designed to act as everything.. I asked reception if they had any actual actual shampoo and conditioner and they said no but advised there was a supermarket down the road! The pool area was cool. All in all very disappointed with the stay given we spent nearly £600 for 2 nights...

Hi I check in and my room was extremely hot and was told that is the law and temperature can't be adjusted. When I asked to see a different room it was cooler. I asked for someone to bring me a key since I was gathering my items in my original room I was told I need to come downstairs until I believe the manager heard my conversation. It was poorly handle and in other hotels they would offered to take care of moving my room. Just don't think u handle it correct.

We absolutely loved our stay at Mama Shelter Nice. Would come back again and again. The rooms, the decor, the staff, the meals, the pool. It was all brilliant. We are travelling with our elderly father and everyone made his stay so pleasant, including giving us an upgrade so he could have his own room. It was a generous gesture and a huge win for us all. Thank you one million times.

Beautiful room in a very new hotel. Breakfast was expensive, with not a great selection. There are much better places within a short walk. They also charge for basic amenities, so don’t forget your toothbrush and shower gel!!

We loved how reliable Mama Shelter was for our trip. Kataryna is fantastic! with great knowledge of fun things to do for night life & Simon with great outdoor recommendations! This is a brand new property so everything was clean and new which was very nice. Location has a very local vibe near to highway so good of your driving to Monaco or Canne. You can walk to the port in 10 minutes which was great. We would for sure stay in Mama Shelter again!

Fine but they want to keep the temps in the rooms above 72 degrees and you have no control of your room temp. I would not stay if you can’t sleep when it’s hot
