A great hotel as a base for our cycling holiday. Helpful, friendly, staff and also a secure garage to keep the bikes. About 20 mins walk from town centre.

The hotel had a promotional evening (didn't know this at time of booking)and therefore unless you paid 15 Euros to enter, the restaurant was closed. When I asked where the nearest was the woman at reception told me it was in town, not walkable. I asked if I could get a taxi to which she replied...no because we will be too busy. I decided I had had enough and decided to check out a day early. When I went to the reception the woman implied it was my fault that I did not ring the hotel beforehand to see if the restaurant was open and that that's the problem with booking on line! These were the last words she spoke and ignored me the rest of my check out. The hotel is slightly run down and the swimming pool had about 6 inches of green water at the bottom. I paid extra for a pool terrace view! My company had recommended this hotel but will not be doing so in future.

Upon arrival at 8pm and after nearly 12 hours of travelling I was told that the restaurant was now closed, so I went and bought some bits to eat locally and returned to the hotel to enjoy them in the comfort of my room. Upon returning to the hotel, the receptionist started shouting at me in French, so I asked (in French) if they could say it in English instead, as I had previously spoken to them in English when I checked in, suddenly they couldn't speak a word of English but I got the gist from their pointing that 'you cant bring food in here even though we're not serving food', so I had to go and sit on a bollard across the road to eat my food. The next day I went down for breakfast and asked the receptionist to call me a taxi so that it would arrive in about 20 mins (for after I'd had breakfast). Only after finishing breakfast did the receptionist call a taxi, so I arrived at work 30 mins later than planned. I travel quite a lot for work, and this is by far the worst hotel I've stayed at.

I stayed here with my mother for two nights while visiting Provence. The younger woman who checked us in was friendly and helpful, and the room was large, clean and comfortable. The location is on the outskirts of town, with nothing much nearby. The hotel and its location aren't particularly charming, but the room was very comfortable with a large bathroom with both a bath and shower. We enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here for one night whilst on a cycling holiday to cycle up the nearby Mont Ventoux. Hotel was great, staff very friendly and the restaurant was excellent. Location was on the outskirts of Carpentras but not an issue for us as we were there to cycle rather than visit the town. It's also a small town so the distance to the centre was walkable if you wanted to. The swimming pool was an added bonus as there was a heatwave when we were there!

If you visit Carpentras, it's pretty likely you have a car, in which case this hotel is perfectly good. It's a 30-minute walk from the town centre, but only about 7 mins in the car. The restaurant is very nice and the breakfast is quite good by French standards (lots of bread, cheese, cereal, yoghurt, pastries, fruit and even a bit of ham and boiled eggs available). Rooms are small but very modern with great showers. Aircon is controlled from reception, so be sure to get it right before going to bed or it entails a 3am phone call.

Booked this outside of Avignon as everything was sold out. Newer hotel but cheaper finishes - strange vibe as it's not really 'safari' as much as 'modern.' At at the hotel restaurant - food was good but service was not. Head waiter catered to locals while leaving foreigners and members of the hotel for 30-45 minutes without food/beverages.
