Sofitel Le Scribe Paris Opéra

Staff were accomodating to English. Explained the elevator and how a key was needed. They held our luggage in storage while we explored Paris

Overall it was a pleasant stay, however a few things to note that I would not expect at a five star hotel; upon arrival no one was there to help us with our bags. After checking in we requested to be moved to a room that had a better view than the one we were in (court-side view) but the only available option would require us to pay almost triple the price we paid for our room. Also, our room was located near the service lift so it was extremely noise every single morning we were there. It is worth noting however that the welcome staff were very sweet and the check in/out process was very fast and convenient.

I loved my stay. The staff is amazing and very welcoming. It is close to metro stations. Definitely will return again !!

I stayed at the hotel for nine nights. The room was small but that was okay since I really just needed a place to sleep since I was going to do a lot of sightseeing. I have always loved the Sofitel chain. My favorite is the Sofitel in Washington DC. So, when I booked this room in Paris I expected an exceptional experience. Their breakfast buffet left very little to be desired. I ordered pancakes one morning they were cold, dry and rubbery. The next morning I ordered soft boiled eggs. The eggs were hard boiled. The cost of the breakfast is obscene at $39 euros per person. Definitely not worth it. While it is more convenient to just have breakfast at the hotel, after the first two, I decided to just explore and look for a cafe for the duration of my stay. A few afternoons I had the do not disturb sign on my door because I wanted to take a little nap before I went back out. Every time I was in the room to nap, the housekeeping staff called the room to ask when they can come to clean. That was one of the most aggravating things. The first time this happened I did not answer the phone. Immediately after the housekeeping staff called again. They continued to call until I finally answered. I stopped to ask the concierge about tickets to the opera garnier to tour. I was told they don’t do tours.

Great hotel with excellent service. The lobby is small but welcoming and the bar at the lobby is nice. The location is great and the rooms are comfortable and in great condition. I'd highly recommend it.

Generally a good property. Excellent staff such as Anaise she was fantastic and others at the front desk and dining rooms. Cleaning staff was very good as well. The property is a bit dated and rooms a bit small.

Great hotel walking distance from a lot of shopping places, museums, bars/restaurants, things to see../ Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Great bar and dining experience. Will definitely stay there again!

Beautiful luxury hotel in the heart of Paris

Surprised how well maintained the rooms and elevators are. Small rooms, at least the one I had, but the rooms are very well thought out and nice room decor. Excellent location.

Property is clean but rooms are very small not recommended for family with kids

Everything was great. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly . The rooms decor is quite different art deco. It was always very well cleaned

There were security issues due to dignitaries visiting for D-Day commemoration and this caused street closures. The hotel was very considerate and let me know ahead of time about this and gave me alternative routes to take.

Superb customer care- nothing was too much trouble. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Hotel super clean, and the beds were just something else. This will be my hotel if choice whenever I come to Paris.

Very attentive and helpful staff!

I used to stay at "the old Le Scribe" and I admit I was sceptic when I learned Sofitel took it over, but they did an excellent job. The ambiance is great, the staff is excellent and there is an air of great comfort over the hotel . Add the great location it all !
