Hotel Astro

I had higher expectations for this hotel and i feel that it made me more frustrated with the experience. Not four stars - the price was pretty low which should have been a warning, everything costs extra once you arrive. One device free on wifi, second is 2 euros/day? Parking very limited and difficult to maneuver, streets are very cramped. Toilet was fixed to wall and sagged and groaned when i sat, didnt feel comfortable fully sitting Corner room, good size. Ac did not work, outdated furniture. Door needed to be slammed to latch closed. Nowhere in shower to put anything, it was also very small, with one unlabeled bottle fixed to the wall (but not tamper proof, i could pick it up and open it). Provided a little basket of sample size body lotion and conditioner, no shampoo or soap Towel radiator didnt seen to work, and there was minor cosmetic damage to some areas (bathroom doorframe, shower) Breakfast was just ok, cold cuts, bread, and was 12.50 euro per day per person! It is close to public transport, our window faced the tram which could be quite noisy, especially when we opened the window (which was necessary during the day due to the lack of ac). The location could be better - it seemed like perhaps once a nice area that was not not so nice. I agree with another reviewer, it doesnt seem very safe to walk back here at night alone. It seemed like they bring you in with the cheap price then charge extra for everything.

Very clean and efficient place. Everyone helpful, we felt good value for money and handy for transport into Stuttgart.

Really good value for money. The only negative aspect is the parking - not too many slots and not covered.

Breakfast is good and location is convenient

Tiny bathroom. No elevator at the ground level. Needed to carry luggage on the stairs to get to level 1 to use the tiny elevator. Breakfast was so so comparing to other hotels.

Good location near to tram from city and Longhorn venue. Clean and comfortable.

Good comfortable clean rooms. Good shower. Very good choice of buffet breakfast, 7 euros per person. Only one small thing, there was no tea/coffee making facilities in room. Was a well priced mini bar though!

Friendliness of the staff. Breakfast was very good and cleanliness of rooms and communal areas was very good

It was a one night stay on a weekend. Everything is closed nearby. On street parking is free.

Had a great time in Stuttgart. The stay at Hotel Astro was comfortable. The room was big and it was great to have aircon in such hot weather. Our top floor room had a great view over the neighbourhood. The bathroom was interesting, having a Jacuzzi type bath with a hand shower but no shower curtain. I only shower, so avoiding a wet floor was quite a challenge. the hotel is well located, a few blocks away from a bunch of restaurants & across the road from the river front.

Went to Stuttgart for the Christmas markets absolutely A1, the hotel was not our first choice, we where staying in an apartment. Enough said of that experience, let’s just leave as a farmer would like it for the mess that was there rotten right through🤮🤮nasty!! The late booking of the hotel was excellent exceeded expectations!! Staff where excellent rooms brilliant overall well impressed⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good hotel, friendly staff, clean room, location was OK, WiFi was intermittent at best

Useful location close to Mercedes museum. Room was basic. Unfortunately reception staff member didn't speak English so difficult to sort out issue with room charges.

Hotel is in a pretty quiet area but ideal for what we needed. We were visiting the festival at Neckar park so it was either a 10 minute taxi ride or a few stops on the tram. Breakfast was ample and rooms were clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that when we got our bill it was 50 euros more than we had booked it for. After a few minutes of we did eventually pay what we were expecting.

Ideal for a budget Stuttgart stay. Local tram stop outside takes you into town

Poor conditions

Stayed for a night to see the Stuttgart Fruehlingsfest. Comfortable, clean, very quiet. Nifty after hours lockbox check-in system, though it did take us a while to figure out how to use it. Not much in the neighborhood but conveniently close to a U-Bahn stop.
