The property was beautiful. The staff was friendly except for one restaurant server. The room had no air conditioning and the bed was hard. Checking castle stay off the list and sticking to new, comfortable accommodations.

Service in the restaurant was slow. I noted to the server another table was seated prior to us, as a courtesy. She responded quite annoyed. Odd. Otherwise, nice stay. A little bit overpriced.

The hotel is only 15 minutes drive away from downtown Giessen which has a ton of things to do and places to go. The hotel itself is very beautiful. You can take a short walk behind the actual hotel and walk around the old section of what used to be the Lord's Manor. Very beautiful location! I stayed in a single room with a great view of the nearby villages and another nearby castle. The staff is very nice and very helpful with anything you need. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.
