With all of the neighboring construction, dilapidated buildings, and Red Cross building nearby, I wasn't sure what the hotel would be like, but let's just say that I would gladly return. Not only was it decorated nicely, but the hotel provided a calm and relaxing environment for a getaway weekend. The double-bed room was much bigger and nicer than expected compared to other places I have visited. The room was immaculant and was quite comfortable. My only two complaints were flat pillows (personal preferences) and the balcony was in need of a good cleaning. This wasn't a big deal as it was from painting/fixing the exterior wall, so was happy to see improvements in progress and it didn't deter the dog and I from enjoying our fresh air. Breakfast was great and had many delectable options, no reason to leave hungry! All the staff were quite friendly and willing to answer any questions about the local area. The location made it easy to walk anywhere.

Nice hotel. Slightly dated, but very clean and staff was very nice! The breakfast was plentiful and delicious ! Town just a very short drive away. Good restaurants and shops and just a short drive to the Rhine River. Would recommend this hotel. Great price too

Ich hatte ein Einzelzimmer im Hotel Engel. Das Zimmer war sauber und es war alles da was man braucht. Es gab sogar einen Wasserkocher sowie Kaffe, Tee und Kaffeesahne. Das Zimmer war hell und freundlich. Das Bad schon etwas älter, aber ok.
Leider hat in meinem Zimmer die Kaltwasserzufuhr nicht richtig funktioniert. Abends war duschen nicht möglich, und morgens mit viel Glück ganz kurz mit ganz wenig Wasser. Besonders jetzt in der warmen Jahreszeit sehr unangenehm. Uch hatte dies an der Rezeption angesprochen, aber es konnte keine Abhilfe geschaffen werden. Das Frühstück im Hotel ist wirklich hervorragend! Es gibt wirklich alles und in guter Qualität.

Ich habe sehr gut geschlafen.
Das Bad in meinem Zimmer müsste einmal überholt werden sonst sehr schön.
Schade ist das die öffentlichen Bereiche zumindest in der Nebensaison nicht am Abend betrieben werden. Räumlich wären die Möglichkeiten (Bar, Lobby mit Kamin usw.) gegeben.
Dennoch würde ich gerne wieder hier logieren.

Alles gut im Hotel, nur einen Kritikpunkt wenn am Sonntag kein Handtuchwechsel möglich ist sollte man dies vorher sagen . Dann würde man die Handtücher nicht auf den Boden legen.

Wir waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt im Hotel Engel. Die Lage ist wunderbar. Man erreicht sämtliche Freizeitangebote zu Fuß. Auch für Wanderaktivitäten ist der Standort optimal. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend und das Frühstücksangebot ebenfalls sehr gut. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es nur, weil die Flure und Zimmer etwas in die Jahre gekommen sind.
