This lovely hotel was very clean and comfortable. It’s more modern than the typical German properties but still has a genuine feel unlike chain hotels. We were glad to have a room looking to the front of the building where we could hear the church bells next door.

The hotel is in a good location, the staff friendly, and the rooms clean and cozy. 4 stars because they don't offer discount for parking. Though, if one plans carefully, street parking is free after 1900.

The only real small issues were the thin pillow, tiny shower and curtain that didnt quite reach the floor. And they use keys and everyone had trouble figuring out which way to turn them and it made alot of noise.

This hotel is a very good choice for solo travellers, my room was small but clean and modern. Had very nice weather when I was there so the roof terrace would’ve been good to know about but no information was given about this. The rooms overlooking the car park on the 3rd floor also have balconies. I do wish that hotels without a bar would provide Tea/ Coffee trays, you can request a kettle but that’s all you get. I didn’t have the buffet breakfast as I prefer to eat later the cost was €13. Walking distance to all attractions, don’t miss the Residenz it’s quite stunning with beautiful gardens.

All clean, but the room is small and you need to be Houdini to enter the shower cabin. Breakfast ok, but not much variety.

Hotel Franziskaner was a great base for a weekend spent exploring Würzburg. It is in a quiet part of the city but only 5 minutes from the city centre. The reception staff were very welcoming and the room, although not large, was comfortable and big enough. The food in the attached restaurant was excellent and breakfast was good too. Overall, good value for money and I'd choose to stay there if I went back to Würzburg.

Comfortable hotel with lovely staff. Breakfast was exactly what you would expect from a continental style buffet, they even made fresh eggs for each guest. 5 minute walk to the palace and into the city centre where we visited the Christmas Market. Parking in right in front of the hotel. Bed is very firm, but still comfortable. Would recommend.

The hotel it situated in the centre, its quiet there and very clean, the breakfast is typical standard. I had dinner 1 evening and could not fault it. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would return there again.

My husband and I traveled with another couple. We had superior double room on the 3rd floor - so more space and a balcony - and a great view. The other couple had a larger room and a couch. Breakfast, staff, rooms, linens, all good - though they charged extra for eggs. Go figure. The front desk even printed our boarding passes for our flight home.

This was a stroll down memory lane. We lived in Wuerzburg from 1990-1996. The hotel stay was great! The hot weather did hinder out comfort somewhat, but we were grateful for the oscillating fan. Their breakfast buffet was very good. We were with walking distance to several historical sites & great restaurants.
