There war a really bad smell in the room. As if someone hadn’t flushed the toilet, but for the whole night. I‘d not recommend this hostel. The staff was friendly, but aware of the problem, so why are they renting it?

Located in a very nice residential neighborhood. It's about a 10 min walk to the U-Bahn and about 5 min walk to the DB regional train. The room was fine, the beds were a little saggy and the shower was awkward and little dangerous to get out of. Breakfast was good and all the staff were very nice.

I had bad experience in this hotel. We stayed for two nights, the hotel seemed more like a motel then a hotel. Ordinary bed and beddings, no shampoo in the bathroom - just a simple hand wash and body wash. To top it all of they did not clean our room after the first night. For what they charged per night the hotel definitely was not worth it. I would not go back to this hotel.

We had a lovely stay in this quiet small hotel. The staff were excellent and it was a homely and comfortable environment. Nice clean room that was kept clean daily and good selection of food for breakfast. Great scrambled eggs! We would definitely stay again.

The original ( Standard) room was tiny. first time I stayed in a room that you had to enter the bathroom sidways. The room was grotty and did not look as it was decorated for years. after a very uncomfortable night I complained about the size of the room and was upgraded to a bigger room at no extra cost.Things got worst when I found a small lump of metal size of a l air gun pellet in my coffee cup at breakfast which I brought it to manager's attention. On the plus side the staff were really great and understanding. The hotel parking was very small but there was always ample parking outside for my big long wheel base Mercedes van. The hotel was a fair walk to the local shops and restaurants but any closer and there would have been no parking so that was very handy too. I may stay there again but will take a metal detector with me next time.

We stayed there on two occasions, separated by a couple of nights in a different town. We needed to get to/from other parts of Hamburg as well as Lubeck so the location was good. When the underpass towards Wandsbek Markt is finished it will be much easier to get around the city to the north and east. Access to the U-Bahn is easy at Wandsbek Markt and parking is cheap at the shopping centre.

Stayed for three nights in a triple room with two friends.
Enough space in the room, which had a decent size and clean bathroom and a balcony.
On the 2nd floor but not too much issue with the stairs.
Breakfast is a small buffet style with cold meats, rolls, yoghurts, fruit etc and scambled eggs- plus coffee. Hadn't realised it was included in price so even more of a bargain.
About a 15 minute walk to the u-bahn from which you can go anywhere across the city all day for 6 euros (9am onwards until 6am of the following day) but you can always break this up with a nice Ulzer Pils at Johnny B Goodes about half way!
Friendly staff and excellent value in a leafy suburb of hamburg near the race course. give it a shot.

This is a lovely hotel with spacious rooms in a beautiful neighborhood however it is quite far from the city center. You can walk to the subway in about 15 minutes but if you want to be where the action is this is not the place
