The room was nice and tidy, offers even a coffe machine (no kettle). Lots of storage in wardrobes. A small bath room offers hair & bodywash in the shower and soap at the sink, as well as a hair dryer. I was surprised by a lovely breakfast buffet with differnt kind of breads and rolls, fresh fruit salad, nice selection of typical German breakfast crudities and chees.

Very clean rooms within walking distance to historic center. Would stay there again.

Great hotel for the money. Clean & comfortable. Great location. Felt really safe and so easy to get everywhere.

Property was clean, convenient, close to the river and has plenty of charm. Front desk is very accommodating and they had my room ready at noon ( 2hrs before actual check-in). I overslept the next day and took an extra 45 minutes to check-out and they were very nice about it. They were very eager to help with directions and attractions when they found out it's my first time in Frankfurt.

The room was small as expected but the staff were very friendly. The buffet breakfast was limited but adequate. It was close to a lot of good restaurants and easy wok to many museums and just across the river from the old town.

Every trip to Frankfurt brings me to Maingau Hotel. Conveniently located in Sachsenhausen, has good access to public transportation (train, tram, subway, bus), is a nice walkable area with plenty dining options. Within walking distance from the "Altstadt und Römerplatz". The staff is very attentive. Yet, I'm not sure why, with every stay my room gets smaller :-) Look forward to my next stay in Frankfurt

We stayed three nights in a superior double which was large and comfortable. Receptionist/manager was friendly and helpful. Quite a few stairs so for some people it might be worth enquiring about accessible roooms. We did not require housekeeping but this was available on request. We breakfasted at the cafe next door. Sachsenhausen area is quieter than central Frankfurt but an easy walk to the Altstadt, the river and the museums. Good restaurants nearby. Street noise was excessive one night - sounded like a party - but this can happen anywhere. We had everything we required and definitely preferred this location to the busier centre. Would stay again.

The rooms looked like they were recently renovated. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Check in was quick as well. I will definitely stay here again if I find myself in Frankfurt.

Our second time to chose this property. Great for German Christmas market.

We arrived at 8:15pm. I provided my name and the man at the front desk said, you are not here. I asked him to give me the wifi code in order to demostrate my reservation throughout the email confirmation I received. The password didn’t work. I asked him what to do, he replied "I don't know, you aren't here find another hotel" Another guess was nice enough to let me use his data, then I showed the receptionist the reservation and he still insisting "you are not here". Finally, I contacted Expedia, and the reservation was under my company's name, but my reservation also shows my name, email, and confirmation number. Frank did NOTHING to look any further to find my reservation. We asked for a top floor, he said the hotel is full, and gave us room 202, it was not possible to sleep, too noise, and no way to have a room change since there is nobody after 11pm. Next morning, another male receptionist was nice, and change us to the top floor, but we still able to hear the woman next door and the one diagonal. Those walls are like paper thin. The webside states sound proved rooms, Where? Not in that hotel. I do not recommend this cheap hotel.

The hotel was clean, quiet. The staff was excellent, polite, friendly, and professional.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and I find it good value for money. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The location is excellent for visiting museums on the Schaumainkai or walking across the bridge to the old town and Christmas market. I stayed in a single room, which was small and spartan. The bathroom was tiny. To get to the back part of the building there is a complicated system of stairs up and down, even when using the elevator -- OK for people in good shape, not so good for people with bad knees or poor eyesight. Don't arrive late for breakfast or you might miss out on eggs :); years ago they had wonderful pastries -- those have disappeared, but what remains is adequate. I would happily stay here again.

Great hotel, I stayed there often back a couple of years ago. Nice area and lots of food and drink options in walking distance. Only negative is parking. Need to be lucky or use parking garage nearby. The good thing, that was only 8 Euro overnight parking. I’ll be back

I had a quick stay -- checking in was fast and easy, the space was relaxing and the people were warm.

Very poor customer service from one front desk employee who worked afternoon/evenings. He was extremely rude and un-welcoming in every interaction we had with him. He was very unprofessional and is the reason we will never book here again!

Front desk staff are helpful and engaging. Rooms are small and laid out like a puzzle so you have to be organized to fit in:)
