What a charming hotel! I wasn’t sure what to Expect but not only was the hotel lovely, the staff was the kindest and most accommodating I have ever experienced! They delivered food to my room when I was under the weather even though room service is not a service they provide. Don’t think twice about booking this hotel!

Just picked a hotel at random near the weinestrasse and got a nice surprise. The room was just perfect and the staff is nice. But the best of all was the restaurant. The snails where delicious and so was the rest of the food we had. The waitress spoke good English and made our experience very nice. The breakfast was very good. Pity the hotel did not have a room available for us to stay longer.

A nice location with great wineries, hiking trails and a nice restaurant (Kabale & Liege) in the region. It could be improved with a coffee maker, fridge and quality pillows in the room. (It meant we had to pay for the breakfast and couldn't pack a lunch for hiking). Overall a good place on a budget.

Started out rough! As guests to this hotel, they did not allow us to make reservations at their restaurant because they were overbooked. They say that they have enough room to support their guests but they do not so we did not eat there. Had to go to the REWE to get food because there are no restaurants around this Hotel! And the worst thing of it all, it was 33°C, and the rooms were scorching. They do have one fan in there for a boat because we always travel with fans because rooms are usually hot, we had three fans and I still sweat all night all night. Horrible horrible night sleep! Only recommend in the winter time for those who like to sleep in non-Sauna conditions! However, with that, breakfast was really good, but still had to pay for it. Not included. Guess you have to pre-purchase for a cheaper price because they charge you five bucks more if you wake up in the morning and decide have breakfast. Also, really close to the winery across the street, great location for that. Also a great location for, the lavender field down the road. The girls absolutely loved taking pictures there and drinking wine.

The only thing i would say that was a sad, I reserved a room for a queen size bed and they do not have any. They go by the dimensions of a queen by putting two extra beds together. So I really paid an extra 40 euro for nothing.

V helpful staff. Welcoming stay. Unfortunately we stayed on a night without a la carte. But what we ate was tasty with an excellent breakfast. Good wine selection and vines a ten minute walk away.

Nice hotel in a very quiet location but really close to the train station to get around (but not so close that you heard the trains). The staff were very nice and friendly, the restaurants were good and the room was clean - everything looked new. The bed was lovely and comfortable ...the sofa bed, not so much but not too bad! There was also a nice little spa with a couple of saunas, steam room and showers which were all surprisingly good for such a small place. We were in a separate building across the road from the main building which we weren't expecting but it wasn't really a problem... it was a very small, quiet road. I may not have felt quite the same had it been reading at breakfast time!! The building was a fairly basic modern building but had been nicely done. I would have no worries about staying here again if I was in the area.

My mother and I loved our stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the food was absolutely fantastic - it is lucky we were only there for 3 nights or I would have burst!! The location is quite remote - there are no shops in the village and Grundstadt is about a 20-25 min walk or 5 min drive. The staff spoke English thankfully as my German is non-existent, but outside of the hotel it is a good idea to have some German speaking ability as not many spoke English. Overall a lovely stay, would highly recommend.

Clean and pleasant hotel with friendly staff and good continental breakfast. However, it is still under refurbishment, but more importantly the pool is only a plunge pool to use after sauna. It is underground, small with very cold water. Not good for swimming.

Zimmer könnten etwas angenehmer sein. Wir waren nicht im Haupthaus, was ich schon sehr schlecht finde. Sauna Bereich war nebenan. Man musste sich demnach im Saunabereich umziehen, statt mit dem Bademantel gemütlich vom Zimmer aus. Personal machte den Eindruck, als hätten Sie keine Lust. Dame am Empfang machte zudem einen sehr lustlosen & müden Eindruck! Dieses Hotel kann ich leider nicht empfehlen!
