Our bedroom was overlooking the Rhein and the window was able to open. Room had air conditioning which was very much needed for nighttime. Staff were lovely and allowed us to check in a little early as our rooms were ready. There was a discount for one meal in the restaurant next door which was appreciated. Boat tours were less than 5 mins walk. Lots of shops behind the hotel and an amazing Jazz Bar. All main shops were about a 10 minute walk away. Central train station was a 10 minute walk and Messe/ Deutz station was just across the bridge with all the padlocks on. The bridge is longer than it looks. We had a late flight home and hotel allowed us to leave our bags and gave us a ticket for them. I would definitely use this hotel again and will stay here next time I am in Cologne.

The location was perfect, so close to the train station! So many restaurants to eat from along the street. Very clean and comfy beds. The air conditioning was great as outside was very hot! Would stay here again should we revisit cologne!!

Wonderful location on the river. Clean room with great small breakfast. Had AC. Lovely room. Little loud late into the night because there is a bar right below the place, so bring earplugs.

We loved this hotel. The location was great! We had a double room with private bathroom & the panoramic view. The courtyard & some of the water visible. This place had old Germany charm. Tons of places to eat & about a 10 min walk to the DOM cathedral. Perfect. The fussganger/shopping was also close. The hotel sits on the Rhein river & is close to the flea market along the Rhein. Lots of things to see. Close to the main train station. The room was actually comfy. Clean. Perfect location. Not to spendy either. We went in May.

Great great location right on the Rhein River, for whom loving connect with nature and have awesome water front ..this is a unique hotel👌 Actually you’re in the middle of the all kind bed of attraction, Kôln Cathedral and the bridge , shopping area and various kinds of restaurants. Rhein Boat tour is 4min. Walk . Rhein Park is 30min. Walk . We didn’t need a transportation tickets , all activities walking distance. I definitely recommend Rhein Hotrl St. Martin for all Cologne visitors. We’re 60years (me and my wife) and we really enjoyed our stay and sure will come again.

The location was wonderful, right on the river and near many amenities and sights to see. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. There are areas that can be improved, and while I tried to contact the hotel several times, they stopped responding after I brought up these issues: - When we arrived and went to pay the city tax, they re-charged the hotel fee that we pre-paid through Hotels.com (it was not the city tax, that was listed separately). I didn't notice the amount because it was in EUR but when I got home and asked for a receipt(which they provided), they would not answer why they re-charged the hotel fee. - While they advertise on their website and the pamphlets when you arrive that you get 50% off the nearby parking, it's actually only 40% off (and when the parking is 32 EUR a night, that really adds up). - The beds are also VERY stiff but I didn't bring that up because there's not much they can do about that but it's something I want to add to the review for potential visitors in case you're not used to a stiff bed. If you like a harder bed, you'll be fine. Ultimately it's a good hotel for the price and location but the staff not responding when clarifying questions about costs have been asked has turned me off on giving it 5 stars.

This hotel is pretty much on the river and we had a side view of the river but direct view of the church, unfortunately the Air conditioning was broken and we were not informed of this until we checked out, luckily it wasn't too hot when we stayed so didn't effect our stay too much, we had 3 large windows we could open anyway. Room was modern and had tea n coffee with complimentary sparkling water in the fridge which kept our drinks cold. We were offered some discounts to restaurant nearby and a small complimentary breakfast for no charge to the cafe nextdoor. We paid $720NZD for 2 nights (€362) remember there is a local bed tax per person per day to be added at time of check in. Lifts are small and our room was located on level 1 but we had a few stairs about 8 to navigate with heavy luggage, so just be aware of this when deciding. Overall the hotel was great, just beware of the cobble stones around the area, it's about a 8min to 10min walk from Koln HPF.

Hotel is perfectly situated in heart of Cologne along the Rhein River. It was only an 8 minute walk to the Cathedral and very close to many restaurants and shops. The staff were very friendly and available when we needed them The only downside was that they only had a combo shampoo/body wash in the room. I traveled light on the toiletries because most, if not all, hotels I’ve stayed at have had conditioner and lotion. So unfortunately I had to go and purchase some travel sized bottles.
