It’s a beautiful hotel. Its location is so unique and beautiful right by the river Rhine. My room has a balcony where you can sit and watch the river. It’s very spacious and comfortable. We had a fantastic time

The hotel was exceptional. The room was clean and appeared to have been updated recently. The room was of a good size and had a seperate living area, bathroom and bedroom. There were views out of every window looking out onto the river. There is free undergound parking which is very secure and I felt at ease leaving my car there. We ate at the hotel and the food was superb, especially the dumplings! The waiter could have been a little happier but everyone else we met was friendly and happy to help.

The staff were friendly and keen to look after you. We had a room upgrade for an extra fee because it was a very quiet time. The town was extremely quiet when we stayed so not many dining options available. It would have been good to have some help with this from reception prior to arrival. Hotel has a lovely position on the Rhein and the village was so pretty and quant.

Wunderschönes historisches Gebäude mit Antiquitäten und sehr schönem Restaurant im Freien mit Springbrunnen. Unser Zimmer im Sonnenflügel war groß, sauber und mit einer großen Badewanne ausgestattet, es hatte Zugang zu einem langen Balkon mit Rhein-Blick - wunderschön! Sehr nette Mitarbeiter, tolle Lage, zu Fuß gut vom Bahnhof erreichbar. Kleine Schönheitsfehler: In Zimmer 45 fehlt einer der beiden hölzernen Fensterläden, eine Nachttischlampe war defekt, die Türen sollten mal wieder gestrichen werden. Beim guten Frühstück im edlen Speisesaal mit Blick auf den Rhein wären Cappuccino/ Espresso schön. Wir empfehlen das Hotel auf jeden Fall jedem, der in Unkel entspannen möchte.

Das Hotel liegt wunderschön. Das Zimmer ist sehr stilvoll gestaltet. Leider floss das Wasser in der bodengleichen Dusche nicht richtig ab. Eine Enttäuschung war allerdings dieses Mal das Frühstück. Es gab zwar leckere Brötchen, jedoch der Aufschnitt sehr übersichtlich, der Lachs wurde nicht aufgefüllt und es gab außer Aprikosenmarmelade nur Billigmarmelade aus Plastikabpackungen. Auch gab es letztes Mal diverse gute Säfte. Diese Mal nur billige Standardsäfte. Das Konzept muss dringend überprüft werden. Positiv sind noch die frisch zubereiteten Eierspeisen zu erwähnen.

Das Haus hat einen neuen Pächter. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich, allerdings dauert der Check in und die Bezahlung der Rechnung etwas Zeit, da muss sich das ganze noch einspielen. Zur Zeit werden Zimmer renoviert und das Restaurant ist am Abend geschlossen. Insgesamt waren wir für eine Nacht zufrieden, die Auswahl beim Frühstück dürfte etwas größer sein bei 4Sternen, aber Preis/Leistung passt.
