Very friendly staff. Bad points: No aircon in the room! Very,very noisy outside hotel. Every 10min cargo ships pass hotel all night ! No any chance to sleep.

This was a lovely quality hotel. The accessible suite was so comfortable for my Mum who is in a wheelchair. Good quality fittings and very comfortable bed. Lots of extra features like a chair in shower and grab rails etc. a very large room with lots of storage. Staff were excellent and breakfast was amazing. We even were provided with an exceptional packed breakfast on our last day as we had to check out very early before breakfast began. We also ate in the restaurant one night which was of a very high standard. The view from the restaurant was lovely watching boats up and down the river. Our only complaint was that an event being run in their function room was noisy until the early hours of the morning but reception were very apologetic. I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to visit again soon.

Everything you needed, you need to ask. No kitchen equipment supplied but you could ring down. Asked for a boiling kettle and tea/coffee but was told no and to use the coffee machine on the ground floor. Had a full kitchen but unable to use it for a cup of tea/coffee. Ended up going to buy a kettle for use in the room. Asked for an iron and ironing board and had to ring down to get it! I am not sure the double glasses gentlemen understood my request Would I return again, no!

Could not have tea or coffee facilities as I was denied it by reception (guy with two sets of glasses) I was told to come into the lobby for coffee and tea and the machine was only on for breakfast and the other machine near it was never on! One bed was uneven and they are single beds with gaps push together with a four inch gap between mattresses I will not stop there again. To be honest

We arrived early (1030hrs) our room was ready, there was an early check in charge of 12 Euro which we thought was reasonable. Our room was on the first floor it had a small enclosed balcony with a table and chairs which gave a view of the Rhine(it was a bit too cold to make use of this). There was a large bedroom with lots of storage and a television ,it had a separate lounge and kitchen area with plenty of seating. There were no utensils or crockery I presume if we had asked they would have supplied it.The lounge also had a large tv. Staff were very friendly and helpful.We had breakfast in the restaurant, it was nice to sit by the window watching the barges on the Rhine, again the staff were very friendly and efficient. We had drinks with friends on a couple nights it was not expensive compared to other hotel bars. There is a spa and sauna which we didn't use they also offer bicycle hire. We had a very enjoyable week and will definitely return.

Generell zufrieden. Große bequeme Räume. Hatten Abendessen über Expedia bereits bezahlt. Jedoch schien das nicht beim Hotel angekommen zu sein. Mussten dann noch mal vor Ort bezahlen. Überhaupt schien das Hotelpersonal etwas unsicher, wie mit Expedia- Buchungen umzugehen ist. Trotz des doppelten Preises waren wir mit dem Essen sehr zufrieden.

This is an interesting one. This hotel was quite grand at one point I think. It’s a great location and the staff are friendly and trying their best in these Covid days. However it all feels a bit rough around the edges and that those in charge are more concerned with counting the euros than customer care. For example we were there during a heatwave and the rooms were hot to the point of being unbearable ( from previous reviews this is a recurring issue). In addition although the rooms have a kitchenette the chillers ( not a fridge apparently) are regulated to not get cold. A visit to the local shopping centre we bought a decent fan for thirty euros which made the nighttime bearable. Dear Hotel Wesel - don’t reply to this by saying thank you for review instead splash out 3000 euros for one hundred fans. It may give the accounts manager a nervous moment but trust me it will be a wise investment and well received by your very hot customers.
