We had a very nice week at Blue Bay, the staff were lovely and helpful, rooms clean, bed and pillows were comfortable, food was very nice, the only negative comments I would have are that there was no milk alternatives, the all inclusive drinks weren’t great and no fruit juice in the mornings! Other than that it was great.

This hotel is value for money. Positives: Amazing views, great locations, the beach really isn't that far away and the bar and the restaurant are very good and the staff amazing. Balanced by: The hotel really needs to read its reviews. It's all inclusive offer is essentially beer, wine, soft drinks (all reasonable) but then only ozo or raki options. Just seems really unnecessary. The food is ok. As with all hotels its a shame there is more shaded area by the pool so there is the inevitable lobbying for beds. (on a plus point for blue bay the option of 3 (well 2 with a bar) pools does mean it is likely you will find somewhere that is relatively nice without having to get up at 0800 in the morning.

Lovely resort, a bit remote, but if you want a relaxing time then it’s perfect. Only 30 minutes to Heraklion airport by taxi and slightly longer to the town by local bus. Good choice of pools and plenty of available sun beds. Stayed all inclusive and the choice of food and drink was good. There was a fair selection of evening entertainment on site. Would visit again.

This resort offers nice rooms with effective air-conditioning, and a good all-inclusive package. The food is nicely prepared and there's quite a bit of variety. The setting is attractive and quiet, and the beach is close. The multi-lingual staff are pleasant and helpful. Evening entertainment is reasonable. There is limited car parking at the resort, but if the car park is full you can park in the road. Heraklion and Knossos are 30-40 minutes' drive away. The gym can get a bit warm, as they are frugal with the air-con, but it is otherwise not bad at all. This is a very good resort with no major flaws. You can eat well, relax and explore without any stress. Obviously, nothing is perfect, and there are few areas in which Blue Bay could improve- bearing in mind the very high quality of most of its offering, and the fact that there are more expensive options. Firstly, the wi-fi is only in the lobby, and can get slow at times. Secondly, some of the rooms are in buildings that leave you needing to climb a number of steep stairs to get to the main complex. Thirdly, one or two of the sports facilities need improvement: the tennis court is a rough tarmac court with a basketball hoop on the baseline at each end (so you can't hit serves or overheads from the middle!), and the miniature golf has about 5 holes, some of which are covered in tree debris. Finally, there are few English language TV channels-- but then you don't go there to watch TV!

We returned almost a week ago after having a fantastic holiday at this hotel. The staff are very welcoming, hotel is kept clean, wide range of food available, always managed to get a sunbed, nice walk to three beaches. Various evening entertainment, the kids enjoyed some of the daytime activities. All in all we would love to return to this hotel!
