We had a wonderful stay at Ikaros Hotel. The lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful when we arrived. She explained what public transport was available to us and gave us recommendations for areas to visit, which helped us so much in knowing how to get around Santorini easily. The location was peaceful and quiet, a 20 minute walk/5 minute bus drive from the city center (Fira). They provided free breakfast from 8-10 am with the hotel booking, and it was a simple continental breakfast (bread, yogurt, cereal, etc) but it all tasted great and was very convenient!

The staff are very friendly and helpful at Ikaros Hotel. The hotel itself is conveniently located near the Karterados bus stop for buses going south and to the airport (and it is only a 15 minute walk into Fira). There are plenty of dining options nearby and there is also a supermarket on the main road for drinking water and all other essentials. Our room was clean and spacious with a small, cosy balcony. Breakfast was basic but sufficient with coffee, tea, fruit juice, cereals, breads and spreads. Overall a lovely little place that we would highly recommend :-)

Imposible to shower, extemely small , water splashes all over. Door pushes floor mat , it is worthless for its purpose. Taking a shower was a nightmare.Personal was extremely friendly and helpful.

Very nice and friendly small hotel. Rooms clean. Great staff. Basic hotel if you just need a place to sleep. Breakfast was the same every morning, some bread and cheese etc. They could add some tomatoes and cucumber etc to it. But im satisfied and would book this hotel again.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was good with a variety of options to choose from, ensuring a great start to our day. It was also a nice touch to find complimentary water left in the fridge.
However, the shower division was not very well done, and as a result, the bathroom would be filled with water after showering. This made it quite inconvenient. Apart from that, we had a comfortable stay.

My stay at Hotel Ikaros could not have been better. Overall a great experience, but most of all the staff were just incredible. It is a family run business and Yanis the owner is just the kindest and most helpful person, and so are his father and other staff at the hotel, such as Manos the reception manager - most pleasant hotel stay I have ever had and wouldn't hesitate to return :)

John is the most accommodating and delightful! Anything we needed he made available to us. He arranged a taxi from the port last minute, he helped rent us a car, he provided recommendations for places to visit and the list goes on. The location is ideal, walking distance from great restauarants (Katerina is great) and a short drive to Fira for great sunset view. The breakfast was convenient and simple. The rooms were cleaned daily which was awesome.
The only issue was the wetting up of the bathroom floor everytime someone showered due to the short shower curtain. We jokingly called it a swimming pool but it was cleaned and the mat replaced everyday when we returned.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is walking distance to Fira but the bus stop is also only a block or so away so convenient. It was an affordable option for our family of 5. Staff we friendly, helpful and breakfast was decent. Really appreciated them holding our rooms when due to flight issues we arrived two days late. We were looking for a safe, central and economical spot to tour the island and this was perfect. Would stay again for sure.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast consisted of cereal, bread, cheese, salami and cake. The room was comfortable but the bathroom was small and really awkward to try not to soak the full room due to the way the shower curtain etc was set up. It was close to a few restaurants and supermarket.

This is by far the best place I have ever been at. First of all, the hotel is located at in the center of island and no matter where you decide to go, you can reach the destination in 20 minutes. I recommend getting ATV for driving around, it is a wonderful joy to ride it around island.
Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful from the very first day we arrived. They allowed us to check in early and our suitcases were kept at the reception few hours after check out (before our flight) while we were visiting around.
Breakfast was good, toast sandwiches were my favorite. Also, there are many greek traditional restaurants around. I rate this place 10/10

I have been working in the hospitality business for the last 40 years. With the increasing tourist volume and invasion of the most interesting sites by the whole world it is difficult to find the authentic value. Ikaros is definitely the place, after spending the day in Fira how great to retrieve into the Greek typical atmosphere.
