We stayed one night, they took care of our luggage while we explored the city. Good room, big, a little old, the bathroom needs to have some shelves / bigger counter to put your items or clothes. The bad thing is that there is no elevator so you need to go up the stairs carrying your luggage. Also, if you need any help finding something like transportation, there is no 24 hour front desk. Other than that it is in a great location, close to everything.

What a beautiful small hotel with character, great staff, and a rooftop view of the Acropolis - the stairs with luggage are a workout, but this is Athens and one must climb hills

I recently stayed at Kimon Hotel in Athens and wanted to share a few important points for fellow travelers. First, there is no elevator in the building. We were placed on the third floor, and getting there required climbing steep stairs and walking across a rooftop patio — not ideal when carrying large suitcases. The room was a bit dated, but it was spacious and reasonably priced. That said, there was an ant infestation in the bathroom. The ants got into our toiletry items, which was unpleasant. I wish I had taken a photo to document it, but it was definitely a problem. One of the more surprising aspects of the stay was the absence of a 24/7 front desk or concierge. It felt more like an Airbnb setup than a proper hotel. On top of that, we didn’t receive any room cleaning or housekeeping during our three-night stay. Unless you place a "Do Not Disturb" sign, the assumption should be that rooms will be cleaned daily — that didn’t happen, and no one followed up. While the location is central and the price was fair, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. Between the accessibility challenges, lack of basic hotel services, cleanliness concerns, and limited staff presence, I would likely not stay at Kimon Hotel again.

This is an older hotel. Although the size of the room was more than sufficient, the bathroom was a bit small. However, the room has a fridge and ample closet/storage space. And, the hotel is centrally located (10 minutes walk) near Syntagma Square. The hotel is close to numerous restaurants, bars, shopping, the subway, etc. Even though the hotel does not have an elevator, I would stay here again, especially considering that the price is much less that other hotels in the area.

Check in was slightly confusing, we had to press a button to alert the staff to open the door to let us in, this did not cause any problems though. The room was nice and the bed was okay. The best thing about the hotel though is how close it is to everything! and i mean everything! it is such a convenient location to stay at when it comes to tourism. The roof top seating was also quite enjoyable for a midday lunch, thank you Kimon Hotel

Location is top notch...Price for this is also good. The issues I faced were the noise in the room at night of singers at restaurants, cars/trucks and people talking. the walls are quite thin and so sleeping can be tough. Also the church nearby dings every half hour The bathrooms are also quite poor. the Shower is very small, no place to put anything.
