Sentido Kyknos Beach Adults Only

No real beach view and it isn’t a beach hotel. The food was good and the staff were friendly.

Staff (5*), Hotel (3.5*), Meals (2*) Negative start, we booked a superior double and we got a single with a small double against the wall (2nd person crawls on the bed), 1 side table, 1 coffee ☕ confirmed it was a single. Positive, Robert arranged an upgrade (extra cost). Appreciated upgrade but disappointed with the original room allocation. The staff were awesome (Stella, Joanna, Nassos and Djemalie Facilities as expected, communal toilets clean, bar was on occasion busy and pool loungers were usually booked by 10am (European guests booking loungers before breakfast😒😒). General: Loads of shops and restaurants close by and Malia strip is walkable. Sunsets on the beach are worth the evening walk. A few noisy or inconsiderate male guests but they calmed down when no one paid attention. If meals were improved this is a hotel I would revisit. Con: Meals were just ok 🙁 There's a selection and meal theme varied but nothing made you feel like having seconds. Some days it was difficult to find something you wanted to eat. We ate lunch out most days in small village taverns and that was 😋 Breakfast varied but fried eggs are not served daily, when they were they were slow cooked in oil not fried As with most buffets people waste a lot of food. The a la carte meal was better than buffet but again felt like it was missing something. Again the team serving were the high point, dishes were served fairly quickly and drinks topped up.

It was so lovely and one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at, I will absolutely be back again !!

Excellent staff and complex.

We stayed here several nights at the end of May. The hotel was busier than I expected but was well versed in handling a crowd. Check in was fast and simple and a staff member helped carry our luggage and show us our room. We used the soaking tub every night and loved it! The bed was super comfortable and our balcony was a good size to sit and relax on. There was a huge selection of food at each meal, so you are sure to find something you like plus the menu changed daily so it wasn't repetitive. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location- only a short walk to the beach and to supermarkets and shops.

Everything was good and nice from hotel location, service and facilities.

The hotel was very relaxing, good location and the rooms (we had a bungalow) were quite spacious, clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly, always saying hello to everyone. It had a real family vibe to it. The hotel was all inclusive so meals were all included. The food was good and the bar prices were pretty standard as well. There is a supermarket down the road and a few jewellery and clothes shops too. The beach is 5 minutes walk. There are better beaches however a little bit further away. Highly recommend.

Upon arrival our room wasn't available and we were taken to a nearby hotel for the night and collected the following afternoon. However, this rocky start was recognised by the Manager who was very apologetic, this did not spoil our holiday whatsoever. The food was fantastic and plentiful, you could eat as healthy as you wish. We have two fussy eaters and they always found something they liked and even tried things they had never had and they now eat a larger variety of foods so this is a big plus point! The staff are the friendliest staff we have ever encountered at a Hotel, nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere of the Hotel was very relaxing and we really did feel at home there. We've been to many Hotels, 4 and 5 stars but The Kyknos has been our overall favourite so far and would love to return one day.

We were pleased with the staff at the reception and in the restaurant. Good food. Dessert less than average. Beds rather hard.

Pros: Close to the beach and bars. Nice grounds with trees and bar next to the pool. Free WIFI in lobby area. Remote controlled AC. Cons: -Not a resort at all. Just cause they have pool doesn't make them a resort. Motel 8 doesn't call themselves a resort! -Not so private pool located in front of the restaurant which always has people sitting outside, so you can't just relax without hearing noise or smelling cigarettes. -Horrible service, short tempered male receptionist required that I pay cash for the additional person. -Sewer smell like bathroom which we were unable to air out no matter how long we had the window open. -The man that helped with our bag ripped my handle since he didn't care to take both handles. -Staff and other European guests smoked a lot so you cannot escape it. -We had a horrible view of the freeway and an abandoned building. -The TV was about 12" big and broken. -Refrigerator was locked unless you pay 10 Eur / day. -Not a real double bed since they just combine 2 twin beds together. My husband and I had separate twin blankets. Overall, they say that they are a 4 star hotel, but beware since that is in Greek standards not US. We asked the receptionist what makes them a 4-star, and they said that it is in Crete standards where they get a star for their amenities. Meaning a 12" non working TV counts as 1. A pool is another. Then a disability ramp counts as another and so on... In US I would rate this place a 2-star hotel tops just like a Motel 8! Don't waste your money here.

Very nice facility - the only negative was that it is located several blocks from the sandy beach

Das Essen war leider sehr schlecht, besonders das Frühstück. Auch der Service kann deutlich verbessert werden.

Kommen wieder

Struttura accogliente e curata, un pò di approssimazione nella pulizia delle camere. Cibo buono ma poco vario e soprattutto pensato quasi esclusivamente, sia come qualità che come orari, per la clientela tedesca. Unica pecca, pochissima organizzazione per intrattenimento ospiti.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour, l’équipe a été au top tous les jours et toutes les activités proposées par l’hôtel était super !!

Sehr schönes Hotel. Familienzimmer noch nicht saniert aber trotzdem in sehr gutem Zustand. Professionelles Personal, aufmerksam, fleissig und loial. 3x am Tag abwechslungsreiches Buffet.
