Aura Hotel - Adults Only

Beautiful pool and great location by the lake. Also, food was very nice quality. The staff were helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer!

otel Aura is conveniently located within walking distance of Lake Balaton, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing getaway. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, providing everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The dinner options were excellent, with a variety of delicious dishes to choose from. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hotel Aura and would happily return.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my mom. Here is my experience: Property and Location: The property seems relatively new, well maintained and clean. Location is great, walkable and safe. There are options for food, shopping and activities. Also, there are two shores of a lake (Balaton) close by for swimming and other activities. Food: We had half board (breakfast and dinner) included with our stay. For the most part, the food was tasty and well presented except of the catfish stew ("harcsa paprikas turos csuszaval"), which was completely tastless. and the noodles were dry. A Hungarian specialty like this should be always outstanding. Considering the hotel' rates, filtered tap water should be free of charge. Instead, we paid around 7 dollars for the plain water. We found this outrages. We loved the breakfast choices like egg options, chia pudding and fruits. Dinner started at 6:30pm which was a little late for us (usually it starts from 6 pm) Room and Service: This needs improvement BIG TIME. This is the first hotel I ever stayed where staff does not make the beds. We had to ask to vacuum and empty the trash. Only one bathing towel and one pool towel per person was provided. There were no small towels for face and hands. There was no hand lotion, shampoo and conditioner. These are standards for even a 2/3 star hotel elsewhere. Some towels had holes in them. Cleaning staff seemed careless. I hope management will read this and make some improvement.

I enjoyed my stay here. The rooms and common areas were very clean and tastefully decorated. The staff was very kind. There was a wide selection to choose from at dinner and breakfast. The food was super delicious and premium quality. Their morning coffee brand and the coffee machine could use some improvement. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

Apparently it's something they do in Hungary after September 21st. Turn off the A/C, unplug all the exercise equipment, shut down the spa unless requested. I appreciate their eco-consciousness. Just made me feel not so appreciated. That being said, this hotel is beautiful and modern with a great location near the lake. We were stunned that the reasonable price included not just a great buffet breakfast but an equally great dinner! The staff were very nice as well, just not able to give us a room with working AC. (This was the second hotel in Hungary to have this problem - the other hotel flatly told us "summer is over, we turned the A/C off.") Has nothing to do with the outside temperature.

Loved the dinners and the pool area, really nice room as well. 3 of us stayed in one of them and it was so big, very comfortable even for 3. We’ll be back next summer for sure

Very nice hotel for a romantic getaway. The pool and spa facilities are excellent. Balatonfüred is only a few minutes walk along the lakeside path, where the ferry is located to explore other towns around Lake Balaton.

Great place, location and service. Would recommend/come again.

It was good for my needs. I needed a place to stay in the area to be with friends nearby. I only slept there although the pools looked lovely.

In itself a very nice hotel. We arrived too late to use the wellness, but we trust that that was all in order, because the hotel really breathed that atmosphere. A pity that the staff was hardly able to speak English. It is really a shame that it is not possible to make your own coffee and tea in your room.

the hotel was exeptionally clean . The spa service very good . Very good breakfast . The dinner not so good ,cold meat soup , main course plain and very small portion , not many options in the buffet . Theu charge you for plain tap water . For a 220 dollar for night a little annoying .

Nice & clean, quiet area. Good service at breakfast & dinner. Short distance to restaurants (5mins) 15 mins to center & shops. Lovely walk with park on one side & lake Balaton on the other side. Public car park next to hotel costs only Ft 400 a day.

I cannot think of a single thing they could have done better.

This hotel is truly a luxurious experience. You will have access to multiple of saunas, steaming room, indoor and outdoor pool, a Jacuzzi, and many water jets. It is a full SPA where you can also book massages. This beats any Turkish bath. The breakfast and dinner options were superb and the staff is very friendly. Parking is available plenty right adjacent to the hotel for free as well as for a fee $10 / day if you prefer to stay on hotel property. The promenade and beach is just a 2 minute walk away, but yet you are in a very quite and relaxing area. Absolutely a must if you in the area.

Excellent facilities both in th spa area and the outside pool. Very comfortable spaciest outside. The food is outstanding, both breakfast and dinner,, the service is also excellent. The bread rooms are good, the servicing is ok we told. Them our bathroom light would not turn off but nothing was done and we had to take he card out at night to make it go off, this let it down slightly as a hotel although I must say we did still love it, we were just disappointed nothing was done and we had to use our mobile phone torches during the night. Very convenient for the lake. Spa treatment was incredible and the best masssage I have ever had.

Amazing stay. Dinner was great, Breakfast was great. Spa was great. Room was great. People were great.
