This hotel was a great place to stay in Eger. The rooms were a bit small, but very clean and everything (shower, intranet, etc) worked well. The beds were very comfortable. And the breakfast in the morning was outstanding. One could easily walk to most parts of Eger from this hotel. I was surprise me to find out they charged for parking -- they said it was to pay for the security system. It sort of threw me -- why did they need a security system if this was a safe area? But it was only 5 euros a night, and it turned out there wasn't enough spaces for one night, so we had to park on the street. We found a spot very close to the hotel and had no issues. The hotel had a mineral bath, but unfortunately we never had a chance to use it. But they provided robes for the baths, which was a nice touch.

Ein solides gutes Hotel mit ordentlich Luft nach oben. Die Matratzen könnten deutlich besser sein und leider gibt es keine Ablage für den Reisekoffer. Der Frühstückskaffee ist auch nicht wirklich lecker und eher eine dünne schwarze Brühe.....

This was a lovely hotel with great character. The staff was very helpful and the food was great. The short walk from the center was worth it. The surroundings were quiet and calm. I'd stay there again.

It's a nice little hotel in the heart of Eger. The staff is very professional and the place is well kept, despite its age. I would have loved to have a water heater in the room with coffee and tea, but maybe it's not the same standard as we are used to in North America.

Woke up at 4.30am and couldnt get back to sleep,way to hot!!! No Air con as such centrally controlled,receptionist told me in the morning that it only comes on above 27C!!!,even at night.....

Small room and bathroom. No air-con or fan makes for a very hot room especially at top floor. Two beds pushed together to make a double, uncomfortable. All staff refused to provide ice cubes at all, insisting on “reserving all ice” for the wedding party later on. The rest of us guests were not important enough, and they would not compromise at all. Location is good, a 5-minute walk uphill/up steps from edge of old town pedestrian area. The wellness center in the drab basement is cramped and rather dingy and unpleasant. The rooms are dated with only fair mattress and bedding. Very little space around the bed for luggage or movement. Very small minibar. On site parking at a fair price was appreciated. Good WiFi. I would not stay here again.

Off street parking (albeit at 5€) was a nice plus, as the street is quite narrow. Unfortunately, some guests use full volume voice at all hours, and this quaint hotel reverberates at times. Proximity to central Eger another plus.
