Beautiful hotel, completely spotless everywhere, restaurant served delicious dinner and breakfast and the bar had a great variety. Staff were wonderful such warm and friendly service from check in desk through to restaurant and bar. It’s in a great location to explore the geothermal area of Mývatn. Room cosy with super comfy bed and excellent ameneties. Would highly recommend

We were so excited to stay here. The second morning there, we found two LIVE bed bugs in our room - which had already bitten us. Upon check out we brought it to the attention of the staff, they told me “we have traps for those, are you sure” which 1. Indicated to me that they KNEW they have a problem with this and 2. Did not want to do anything about it. For the price - this is fully unacceptable. Sadly our stay was ended with extreme anxiety about our belongings being infested and bites - along with no accommodation for the issue and full disregard of the need to mediate it. Definitely DO NOT STAY in room 301.

Fosshotel Myvatn was just as promised! Modern, clean, spacious and relaxing. We only spent one evening there but loved it. The beds were comfy, and rooms have everything you could need. We chose to have breakfast at the hotel which was an additional cost to our room, but honestly there are not many options nearby so we decided it was easiest. Delicious dinner at Gamli Baerinn just down the road! And totally enjoyed our soak at Myvatn Nature Baths.
