Lagarfell Studios

One of our favorite places to stay during our 10day trip on the ring road. Kitchenette well stocked, comfy beds, able to do laundry. Highly recommend.

Clean spacious room. Kitchenette perfect for making a small, hot meal. Just down the road from Vok Baths

I like there is a microwave in the room. Also there is laundry in building for people to share.

Comfortable place

Greater than expected in every aspect. Neat andnew with amazing glacier view.

Wonderful studio with kitchenette. It looked like it had been renovated recently as all the furniture, furnishings, floors and wall paint looked new and in good shape. A pod coffee maker too! Easy to check in and out. Very close to downtown Egilsstadir.

Spacious room with small kitchen. Everything we needed for our stay. Lovely sitting area in the back to relax at the end of the evening.

This is a very nice place given the limited lodging options when traveling in the remote parts of Iceland. We tried to be at the property when the staff ( singular) was available during the check in time. I suggest the check in instructions could be improved to avoid any language barriers. 1. For example, guests can be told the number of parking spaces in front of each building so that they can keep a safe distance when parking their vehicles. The parking spaces are not marked and it took a bit of a struggle to get that message across. I don’t have any hard feelings about it, but trying be helpful to the property owners and the guests. 2. There was no reception desk and guests were supposed to ring a bell on an inside wall to get the assistance. This could have been communicated as part of the check in instructions. When we reached at the property we didn’t know what to do, but eventually figured it out. Anyways I have given the property 5 stars because it deserves it.

The owner came out and greeted us personally, and was extremely informative and accommodating. (I think we just happened to catch him doing some yardwork.) The room was very clean and well stocked with dishes, and toiletries. Could not have been more pleased, especially with having a nice patio outback with lots of shade! Would love to have stayed here more than one night

Nice and comfortable room. The hotel also provides good machine made coffee as compared to others hotels I've stayed.

The property is quite nice once we found it. Expedia google map directions sent us to the wrong town and we needed help from a townsperson to find it otherwise we never would have found it. The host was very gracious and helpful once we got there.

Pretty rooms. Tiny kitchenette. No contact info available. We arrived later than anticipated at 10 pm to a sticky note connecting us to the hostess. She was on site and awake. She berated us for quite a while despite our trying to apologize and explain. She was further aggravated that our credit card hadn't worked despite us promptly giving her a different one. After she finished telling us how angry she was the room was fine. Very clean and pretty. Nice bedding. I would suggest different night table. They were fi ished wood pieces that bad uneven tops with holes so it was hard to trust their stability. Lovely bakery across the street. If you have a reliable schedule you won't mind staying here. But i felt like a humiliated child and don't recommend it

The room was an ok value for the money and it was pleasant. It had a nice big window. The bed was comfortable, but the kitchen was very cramped. The room had a door to a nice outdoor area, but It was very hard to figure out how to lock the door to the outside. The instructions failed to mention you had to pull up hard on the whole door to get it to lock. The communication on how to find the facility and how to find the owners was very poor and did not come in advance. When I went looking for someone on the property to help me the owner was rather rude to me.

Very nice stay

Owner is wonderful. Extremely helpful. Rooms are minimalistic in their design sense (I mean this as a compliment) but also have everything you need, especially in the kitchen. Nice patio off the room. Easy parking. Wonderful bakery right across the street. One tip: curtains are not blackout, so bring your eye mask if traveling in summer.
