Meritas Picaddle Resort - Lonavala

The water park was very dirty and ordered food arrived quite late. Not very good for pure vegetarians either. Lunch and dinner are not imcluded in the hotel expenses and need to be paid separately. Overall not worth the money and locality is also not so good.

It is a nice hotel. Good location.

Behaviour of hotel staff was very rude. I had an experience that hotel is doing me a favour by allowing me to stay in their hotel. They have excuses for everything. I do not recommend anyone for stay.

The room air conditioner was very ineffective. It didn’t cool at all. Moreover even the fan used to operate in extreme speeds either very slow which was completely unusable or very fast. There was no Middle speed. I couldn’t sleep for the full night. Also the toilet seats were broken. Considering the cost of the resort, it’s expected that such things are taken care of.

The rooms are highly over priced compared to the service then provide. The property and the rooms are just basic. The bathtub seemed like an old broken tub, the jacuzzi switch didn't work. The shower knob turns off on its own, need to keep the knob lifted for continuous flow of water. A 2 star service with a 5 star pricing, that's all I can say.

Problem: Internet was inconsistent / missing most of the time.

The property is good. The reception communication and response is bad.

Needs pest control and appropriate supply of towels.

We stayed here for 2 nights. On 1st night our AC broke. We called the maintenance and they fixed it and within 2 hours it broke again. We called maintenance and it broke again. When we asked the front desk to give us non AC rooms charges, we were told we should have requested room change. Then we were told we should have called maintenance. When we pointed out that we did call maintenance the manager took the log book to check and then call maintenance to verify our story. The Sr manager on call came in at 11 AM and then was busy on call with someone to see what they can do for us. We paid 30K for 2 rooms for 2 night. We asked for a discount considering we were with 2 children and were sleeping in non AC room in hot weather. But clearly the front staff did not care. They told us we should have asked for alternate accommodations and that it was not their job to give us alternate accommodations. We were being given 2K discount which was not acceptable considering we never got AC and that there was mold in the bathroom. The kids swimming area was unclean and green in color. The adult section was clean and treated properly after close. The wait staff was also good. I am mad at the management for treating guest so poorly and blaming them for not asking to give alternate accomodations or calling maintenance (which we clearly did).

Good stay with family

The staff was friendly but because there were few of them service wasn’t at its best. The resort was very crowded hence Restuarants were very clean & food quality was okay.

Water park access

Rooms were clean, lovely stay. Many activities available: spa, swimming pool/hot tub, water park for little kids and water slides for bigger kids, playground, huge trampoline, bike riding. Very courteous staff. Hotels.com seems to have the incorrect photos for the executive room, showing that the executive room is a suite when it is actually just a regular room, so we were confused when we checked in. The hotel staff was so kind and gave us the suite room that was advertised in the app for no extra cost. Areas for improvement: The food was underwhelming, and the mattresses and pillows were not the most comfortable, and they needed more poolside chairs. Overall, it was a great stay.

The stay was good. But the rooms do need repair. Example: there was a small hole in the bath tub which was oozing out dirt, so we could not enjoy the bubble bath. The balcony door lock was broken and that didn't feel safe at all.
