Trident, Chennai

The staff are very competent to address guest needs. The property is gated and so secure. But the room walls are somewhat thin, possibly from a tv next door at midnight.

Great place to stay and friendly staff.

Trident is no longer worth the price they charge. The building is very old and it shows. The rooms are tiny, especially the bathrooms. Compared to many of the modern five star hotels that are nearby, trident is outdated. The bathroom design is odd and antiquated. The saving grace for Trident is the staff. They are all very friendly, caring and supportive. The dining service is horrible. We found cockroaches running around the buffet counters.

Very close to Airport. Staff was very friendly. Transport from Airport and back at reasonable rates is great. Whenever you ask for anything for the room, the staff brings to you within a few minutes. And finally, the breakfast is excellent with a choice of Indian and Continental cuisine.

Nice facility and close to the airport. I have stayed here before and really enjoyed it.

The Trident has been consistently and unfailingly surpassing expectations during each or our stays. Kudos to the entire team from front office to F&B to Housekeeping. The entire team goes out of their way to make the stay comfortable.

Close to airport. Old property. But, neat and clean

This property and team helmed by Mr. Jishnu is a charmer and exceptional in every way. Maybe, it is not a ground breaker in terms of architecture and an older property. However, the way the organization has maintained the property, it feels and smells as good as new. The staff in all departments including Front Desk, Guest Services, Restaurants, Security, Bell Desk and House Keeping are all very welcoming and attentive, I can go so far as to say they are doting on their guests. Me and my family have been to many a hotels in India and abroad but this by far has been the best experience we have had. Their service level and attention to detail has been miles above anything we have experienced thus far. They are a customer first property in the true sense. The management team should feel very proud as I am sure they never fail to Wow their customers as they did us. I feel property and its team should be considered a shining star and a Gem in the crown of EIH Hotels and the Oberoi Group of Hotels.

It was very personalised and comfortable stay . The staff is the best here They take care of you so well You feel so much loved and welcomed.

Service was exceptional. Room was a bit cozy and tight, the room was high quality though the age of property comes through.

I had a massage at the spa in the hotel and it was amazing. The whole experience from the massage room, with your own facilities as well as a shower which turned into a steam room post massage. The massage itself one of the best I’ve ever had. The staff were fantastic. I spent a little time in the bar, where again the staff were great. The buffet breakfast and lunch was very good, the staff again fantastic, just as were the reception staff. Only point away is that the rooms are getting a little dated, with lack of power sockets, the bedding a bit tired and the bathroom showing its age with the shower and bath combo. The proximity to the airport helps, ask for a pickup and the experience is great and a worry off your mind.

Very nice and accommodating. Slightly outdated rooms and had i known that tne airport was right there perhaps wouldve reconsidered . Overall a very nice hotel though.

The Chennai Trident is TOP NOTCH, bar none! For past work trips, I was booked at another 5 star competitor of the Trident. Once when a room was not available there, I shifted to the Trident. I’ll never go back anywhere else! I recently spent 3 weeks here across 2 stays. The Trident has the size of a medium sized hotel, but it has the charm and personalized service of a small hotel. After your check in, the front desk staff will recognize you as if they have photographic memories. You won’t have to wait for desk service. There are always several people on duty, and you will never catch them being distracted by mobile phones or anything else. They are 100% customer focused. The front desk is attentive to emails. Some colleagues and I once arrived late to our reservation, and requested via email, that the hotel hold our rooms. We were delighted and deeply greatful to still have a place to stay at the end of our arduous journey. It's likely that you will see at least one person cleaning glass or polishing the floor or otherwise tidying, at any time you pass by. You’ll not find anything out of place. Even their giant bowls full of floating flowers are fresh and perfect at all times. If I called out the names of each person individually who helped make my stays special, the list would consume the entire review space. Each person i interacted with deserves a shoutout.
