I was with a group of friends. The accommodation was very nice and tidy. James and the staff were very friendly and they satisfied every our request. The beach was amazing and the sunset was superb. They provided us some motorbikes to see the other gorgeous beaches! The breakfast was basic, but good and healthy. Thank you James front office all!

The service is 5 stars from check in to check out, the staff are very friendly, the food and drinks are also very classy but still affordable, the rooms are very nice, the holiday atmosphere is very pleasant, beautified by the view of Ndana Island (the southernmost island of Indonesia). The best family holiday destination so far. Unfortunately, many people still don't know about this great place. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Getting to Pantai Baru and Getting Around

Reaching Pantai Baru from the Philippines is an adventure in itself, typically involving flights with one or more layovers, as direct routes are uncommon. Travellers from Manila (NAIA/MNL), Cebu (CEB), or other Philippine hubs will likely find connections through major Asian hubs like Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, or Jakarta before proceeding to the nearest airport serving Pantai Baru. Flight durations can range from 8 to 15 hours or more, depending on the layover times. The estimated cost for round-trip flights in PHP can vary significantly, but budget around ₱20,000 to ₱40,000, especially if booked in advance. The primary gateway airport for the region is typically Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Bali, from which you would then take a domestic flight to a local airstrip serving Pantai Baru, or a ferry.

Once you arrive in the vicinity of Pantai Baru, navigating the region is part of the experience. Local transportation options include motorcycle taxis (ojek), which are common for short distances and offer a quick way to get around. For longer distances or more comfort, local buses and minivans (angkot) are available, though they can be crowded and follow set routes. Renting a scooter or car is also an option for independent exploration, but ensure you have the necessary international driving permits and are comfortable with local traffic conditions. Taxis are available, particularly in more developed areas, and ride-hailing apps like Grab operate in many parts of Indonesia, offering convenience and fixed pricing.

The best time to visit Pantai Baru largely depends on your preferences regarding weather and crowds. The dry season, typically from May to September, offers sunny days and lower humidity, making it ideal for beach activities and outdoor exploration. This period often coincides with peak tourist seasons for Western travellers, so expect slightly higher prices and more visitors. The wet season, from October to April, brings higher rainfall, though it often occurs in short, intense bursts, followed by sunshine. This period can offer lower prices and fewer crowds, appealing to budget-conscious travellers or those seeking a more tranquil experience.

Before embarking on your journey to Pantai Baru, a few pre-departure preparations are essential. Ensure you have sufficient local currency, Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), and that your Philippine Peso (PHP) can be exchanged easily. While USD is sometimes accepted in tourist areas, it's best to have local currency. Consider purchasing a local SIM card upon arrival for affordable data and calls. Essential apps to download include offline maps (Google Maps or Maps.me), a translation app, and ride-hailing services. Beyond your passport, ensure you have copies of important documents and any required travel insurance details. Use Traveloka to find the best flights — book flight.

Visa Information for Entering Indonesia to Visit Pantai Baru

For Philippine passport holders planning to visit Pantai Baru, understanding the visa requirements for entering Indonesia is crucial. Fortunately, Indonesia offers visa-free entry for citizens of the Philippines for short stays. This allows for a stay of up to 30 days without the need for a visa, provided the purpose of visit is tourism or a similar short-term activity. It is essential to ensure your Philippine passport has at least six months of validity remaining from your intended date of entry into Indonesia and that you possess proof of onward travel, such as a return flight ticket.

The application process for visa-free entry is straightforward upon arrival. You will typically present your passport to immigration officials, who will verify its validity and check for your return ticket. There are no visa fees associated with this visa-free facility for Philippine citizens. However, it is always advisable to confirm the latest regulations with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in the Philippines or the Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration before your travel, as policies can be subject to change.

While the visa-free entry is convenient, it is imperative for all travellers to verify the most current visa regulations directly with Indonesia's official immigration authorities or the Indonesian Embassy in the Philippines prior to booking flights and making travel arrangements. Visa policies can be updated without prior notice, and ensuring you meet all entry requirements will prevent any potential issues upon arrival in Indonesia for your trip to Pantai Baru.
